Might consider GR90 when my current set wears out. Would you care to PM me which shop quoted you that price? ============= Looking at the prices mentioned, it seems that GR90 is more ex than PP2 even? Where is the logic? If prefer comfort & good grip & lasting, can get MXV8 better. ↡ Advertisement

If prefer comfort & good grip & lasting, can get MXV8 better. I'd guess some people would pay a premium to have a quiet and comfortable tyre which have a reasonable performance in wet/dry, and I hope GR90 is one such tyre. PP2 is not well known for quiet nor comfy, its more towards grip. Basically they are different category tyre. MXV8 is phasing out, the succesor is Primacy LC. I prefer to buy those that has been tried & tested & proven only. Maybe thats why I can save $$$ by not wanting the latest fad. Primacy LC. U have any idea if they come in 205/50/16 or 195/55/16 & the price?

I prefer those older proven models which dont keep changing so quickly. Octopus 3rd Gear February 11, 2010 Share February 11, 2010 Quote Primacy LC. U have any idea if they come in 205/50/16 or 195/55/16 & the price? A quick search on Michelin Singapore website results is negative. For size 195/55R16, there is Primacy HP, more towards sporty performance.

Even if the GR90 is good, I doubt it is better than equivlent price range from Michilen etc. According the the brochure of the GR90 i took from Bridgestone and tests by magazines, the GR90 is superior to the GR80 in all counts (dry/wet handling, braking distance, noise, wear rate, rolling resistance etc) and the feedback were all positive. On top of that, the GR90 is asymmetrical in design. The GR80 was already very popular and more highly regarded than the rest of its competitors from Yokohama and Michelin already. The GR90 will probably reinforce that. It's expensive now because it is still new and there is high demand.
