SingTel, StarHub battle for World Cup rights

I disagree with people who says "It's the football fans who lose due to the bidding war."

To me, if you make me pay what I shouldn't be paying (example, pay to watch sports on TV), then I'm cancelling it. Watching sports on TV should be free. You only pay if you watch sports in a Live Stadium.

To me, it's whoever is charging lose. At lease they lose my business.

free? you want things for free. wait long long lah.....nothing is free....maybe the air you breath is free

like channel 8 drama only.

later when suckhub gets the distributorship rights, singaporean just LPPL and sign up another plan from them just for WC while already on sinktel for EPL.

2 service providers, 1 parent company. monopolization of the market, no fair competition of prices for consumer at all. pui ~

just like petro cartels.

hmm overheard from somewhere (cannot tell la [lipsrsealed] ) that both the red and green will broadcast the WC2010 together, but both will offer different plans as in either package or pay per view to entice the viewers to stay with their service providers....

Lets see whether this is true anot. Anyway has drop green in my home and installed red...hehee... [grin]
