Butcher_hoe Neutral Newbie December 7, 2009 Share December 7, 2009 Hi Kakis, Arising from a small corrosion on the left hand side of my EP70, it has been decided that I should get it fixed up and give my Lao Chio Bu a fresh coat of paint. Anyone here with good experiences and would like to recommend a workshop for spray painting and fixing of panels, please drop me a PM or continue on with this thread, thanks! ↡ Advertisement

Butcher_hoe Neutral Newbie December 9, 2009 Author Share December 9, 2009 Ok..I'm looking for starlet kakis with recommended workshops for my Lao Chio Bu's change in color. I just went to one of the spray paint workshops in Woodlands last night, I was quoted $700 for full change in color, including interior...I managed to squeeze abit more into the $700 deal, and the boss has agreed to do the following: 1) Full change in color (every part that consists of the old paint will be sprayed with the new color, E.G: Places like the inside of the door where its not covered by the leather) 2) Spraying of Rims 3) Spraying of Bumpers What do you guys think? I've yet to say yes to the boss..

I don't know whats the market rate for spray painting. But yes, the workshop that I visited offered total change in color, including interior. Currently still thinking whether to go for it... Butcher_hoe Neutral Newbie December 10, 2009 Author Share December 10, 2009 ha ha, everytime i try to wash the rims , it became darker and darker lor, lol , i use $2 cheap lotion from dai--so ha ha anyway can help me ask how much they charge for spraying rims ? to either bronze , gold or white :) Hmmm, I'm going for: 1) Spraying of new coat of paint (Original Color) 2) Spraying of front & back bumper 3) Spraying of rims I'm sending in my car for them to begin work on 15 Dec, it should be ready by 18 Dec. I'll post pre and post photos so you guys can judge the workmanship from the photos (though it'll be better to see the real thing before and after) Afterwhich, if you guys are still interested, I can PM you the workshop's details. Its always better to visit the workshop with your car, that way they can judge and decide better on how much to charge you.
Butcher_hoe Neutral Newbie December 28, 2009 Author Share December 28, 2009 I've collected my car on 26 Dec 2009...I'm not showing photos because there's no obvious change in color...in the end, I only did mending of car body (a certain area of my side skirt had corroded), touch up of paint on rims to cover the scratches and chip offs. I feel that the workmanship will be generally accepted as good, before the re-spray..I had lots of scratches, foreign paint marks, cracks on bonnet, front/back bumpers, kerb rashes on my rims..now, the whole car looks good..feels smooth to touch, and best of it all, it shines alot better than previously... I'll try to get before and after photos anyways, just to let you guys have a look at how its like...
