air is gd n view of golf course from room is gd. Unless u r playing golf, 4get it. Too troublesome to dr up n down e hill to go genting which may take 10-15 mins. In e Dec holidays, parking lots in Genting HL r hard to come by, once u parked, don tink u wuld 1 to drive off [drivingcar]

Only Awana available now...haiz... but worried that the room is bad n the trip up to genting will be too troublesome.

stayed there once before. i think 2 yrs ago also around tis time. really last min gg up to genting so there was the only one with rooms left.

they have bus services up to the casino itself. but chose to drive up instead. gg up was ok. coming down was the challenging part. at 1am. the fog is rather bad. so be careful.

rooms are spacious. went with my family. they gave 2 queen or was it king. so i shared with my dad and mum with sis. scenery is sweet. air is cooling and just nice. we had a view of the golf course. i guess the general difference is that there feel is more relaxin

Stay at Awana 2 years ago..

Room is spacious and condition is much better than any of the hotels I stay at the top ie genting, highland, resort, first world..

Carpark seems to be safe.. Got security guards.. But you know these places lah..

Travelling to and fro is very troublesome. Driving 15 mins to casino.. Beware of monkeys..

They provide shuttle service to the cable car station until midnight every 30 mins for peak hour or every 1 hour for non peak hour.. After midnight, shuttle service every hour from highland hotel to awana every hour, i think.. Can see their bus schedule at the hotel.. And yes, they provide a round trip cable car ticket too..

Just came back from Genting 02-05 Dec. Weather was quite bad. Only thurs had a clear day. Fri & Sat foggy weather hence most of the outdoor theme park rides was closed for 2 days. i dont suggest driving up & down those slopes. U cant see nothing on the road during these foggy days. Seriously I think visibility is down to a few meters. Even turning on high beam + HID + fog lights can only help so much. U still cant see shiit. [dizzy][crazy]

bro, are there any flooding on or along NSH? that's my only worry..i'm not too concerned with the fogs cos i'm not planning to go to the outdoor theme park..

anyway, i'm going up to genting in a 3 car convoy from 21st to 23rd dec..

I always stay at Awana when I go Genting. I find it more relax and checking-in is easy .... don't have to take Q nos and wait like 1 ~ 2 hours. Been staying there for the last 2 yrs.

Most of the rooms were upgraded in the past 12 months, and its spacious and some even have broadband. Unless you are getting the premium rooms up at the Highlands, else the rooms at Awana is definitely better. 2 queen size bed is jut right for a small family.

Its quite convenient to go up to the Highlands vis the cable car. Only thing is the queue may get quite long during peak hours, esp during public holidays n weekends.

If its a family affair and you want a bit of everything, than Awana is good. If you are there mainly for the casinos, then just stay at the Highlands.
