Sosaria Twincharged December 2, 2009 Share December 2, 2009 Probably got a lecture only lah... Anyway what's the fine for road-hogging / obstruction offence? I think speeding fines are higher, and the focus is still on speeding. Recently there was a ST forum letter writer that commented on road-hogging lorries on AYE, so it's good that some action is being taken. ↡ Advertisement

I do not remember. nah http://www.mha.gov.sg/news_details.aspx?ni...EsQs%2F32Gnc%3D Road hogging is proscribed under Rule 5 of the Road Traffic Rules, which states that (a) every vehicle which is moving at a slow rate of speed shall be driven as close to the left-hand side of the roadway as possible, and (b) every vehicle shall at all times be driven in such manner as not to obstruct vehicles moving at a faster speed. Breach of that Rule is an offence under Section 131 of the Road Traffic Act, which attracts a maximum penalty of a $1,000 fine or 3 months

Karebu 1st Gear December 2, 2009 Share December 2, 2009 such 'heartwarming' stories make me want to donate/reward the tp if there's that option to. 90 would be typical of a hogger, but for 70.. there must be something mentally/emotionally wrong with the person - in distress basically

Sw20 2nd Gear December 2, 2009 Author Share December 2, 2009 yes PIE, on first lane, you gotta drive at 110 to 120 Honestly.... I do that... even with TP by my side couple of times... esp near bukit timah that stretch. Speeding, i think is fine unless you are causing an accident or inconvenience to others... than TP will step in? Most of the time i am speeding... i am alone.. or TP near me. Once was at the Toh Guan stretch of PIE.... with WRX.... Many times at bukit timah stretch with TP bikes..... until that day i cam caught... then i'll know i guess.... sometimes... in my heart i am afraid that the TP might have a bad day... and catch me... LOL sometimes is a KICK to have a brush with the law.
