Windchoco 1st Gear November 30, 2009 Share November 30, 2009 Impressive... I am no fan of this car though... So to all who want to diss the car as another Korean relabel, pls think again. Btw the new Astra also got similar 5-Star NCAP results (sama platform). The Chevrolet Cruze achieved highest ever ratings in frontal offset and side impact Euro NCAP tests Previously recognised for a best-in-class, five-star crash safety rating in Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) testing in Australia and Chinese New Car Assessment Program (C-NCAP) testing in China, the Cruze has now achieved a five-star Euro NCAP rating, becoming the only car ever to achieve maximum points in frontal offset and side impact crash tests. The Cruze received a maximum 16 points in the frontal offset collision and a maximum 8 points in the side impact test against a moving deformable barrier, making it the first passenger car to receive maximum scores in both tests since Euro NCAP began providing crash test ratings in 1997. Overall, it scored 79 points out of a possible 100 ↡ Advertisement

Pufferfish1 Clutched January 17, 2010 Share January 17, 2010 you cant blame dealers, team thunder tax X3 times on the original selling price. that why singapore has the most expensive car ownership.
Friendstar Supercharged January 17, 2010 Share January 17, 2010 I agree with puffer. If u were the AD, I'm sure u'll import strip down version of the car to reduce the tax else u simply cannot compete. The fault lies with team thunder and not AD

If u were the AD, I'm sure u'll import strip down version of the car to reduce the tax else u simply cannot compete. The fault lies with team thunder and not AD The point is if it isn't what it is supposed to be, don't tout or market it to be something else. I agree to a point also that in order to bring the price down, it is unavoidable to de-specs the car to bring the import price down, but must be at least to an acceptable level where the consumers can accept. Both the principal (GM) and the dealer (AM) have the responsibility to uphold the message they shouted in their advertistment. If I signed the deal yesterday wanting to get a safe family car for my family and then realised today that the car that I will be getting is not what it claimed to be (Euro NCAP 5-stars rating), I will be going back to AM to cancel the deal and get my refund immediately! Surely CASE has to do something to deter dishonest dealer who advertises wrong message aiming to mislead consumers to their advantage.
