I getting my new car, however the freebies like solar film and PPS and alarm all not fitted yet. SE informed that need to go back to fixed during 1st servicing. Is this normal ?

Usually solar & alarm should be in before delivery, unless no stock or owner rushing to collect car. PPS (is it paint protection that kind of stuff) usually you go do it after collection. My previous Sunny solar I did it after collection. Both my PI toyotas came with solar installed.

Just get them put what the own u on black and white. So they can't back out on what they promise u.

i suppose these are standard accessories right? not like you got special bargain for them, so shld be safer too, cos all cars from them should have these basic stuff.

 

unlikely they wanna cheat u of solar films, pps n alarm and risk their rep for a few hundred bucks

just ask them to write in b/w. for my case with TC, all were installed prior collection.

could be a case of no stock

If you are not rush, better get your SE to get all this done prior to collection.

All these normally not done by AD, they outsourced to various specialised workshops.

Imagine,

-fit solar film=4 hours

-install alarm=4 hours

-PPS=4 hours

 

More likely if you collect the car prior to all this, this may happen:-

 

Case-1

You need to leave your car with AD during the first serving for at least 2 days.

The SE will help you to arrange someone to go to various places to get it done.

 

Case-2

You need to get letter from AD, and you need to go personally your own to all these places.

With all the appointment, travelling, waiting etc (and normally during office hour) you need to take 2~3 days leave.

Only thing good is you can monitor the whole processes to prevent possible flaws and learn something from each specialist and equip with knowledge to maintain it better
