Just tried Popeyes today after so much positive feedback abt it.......another disappointment. Bt the mash potato was [thumbsup] . Giving up on fastfood chicken in spore.......Texas, WaffleTown, A&W, Arnolds, KFC & nw Popeyes etc. None of them is good. Really wonder why the same brand in other countries taste so much beta thn our local ones? Isit the chicken or the way the staff prepares it? Looks like its bac to hawker style spring chickens for me. Rather value for money chicken thn pay for expensive branded "dry" chicken.

Some people say Singapore Chicken cannot eat too much, else "neh neh" will grow big because the chicken are injected with steriod, don't know true or not?

After reading about Popeyes being good, went to Toa Payoh to try.......renovations and constructions still going on in the building, very crowded and hard to get seats even though it is quite dusty.

Hugely disappointed, dont like the taste, chicken very salty for me, biscuit too dry. Or is it must go to the one in Airport to get better taste Popeyes?

First tried Popeye in Manhattan several years ago, chicken is very salty, so are the shrimps. Tried it again recently for the first time in Singapore at Changi T3, still the same salty fast food. Nothing spectular IMHO, its just fast food :D

I do not like popeye ... tasteless chicken. Even some hawker centre fried chicken tasted better than popeye.

I liked the recent KFC black pepper chicken. Too bad no more liao.

Many many years ago, when I was a student still, I use to work in KFC to earn some school fee and pocket money.........

Somehow we notice that the product of certain cooking pot at certain branch is better than the others......cannot explain why because SOP all the same

Is it psychological factor? Like for example, for MacDonald's, people would think that the fries would be good...KFC, people would think that their fried chicken would be good....

The only difference I can detec with most of these deep fried fastfood is the oil that they use. Probably some outlets recycle their oil more than others, which affects both the taste and the health of consumers.
