Popeye vs KFC

arnold's chicken is better than both popeye's and kfc. popeye's standard a bit inconsistent, kfc's standard has dropped over the years. but if i must choose only one out of the two, i'll choose kfc.

Arnolds my 1st choice..only tried the City Plaza branch so no idea abt quality at other branches..quality wise consistent everytime..during Ramadan best to avoid during break fast timings

 

Popeyes best to go during peak hours coz during off peak the chicky is cold.

 

KFC..i haven't gone to one in the last 3 years

opposite from you. i will only go to KFC and nothing else liao. especially Popeye, dont tast nice at all..

Yes!!! KFC all the way! Thumbs Up! But if u go Msia, especially KL or Ipoh, those coffee shop sells "Poly Fried Chicken" taste as good as KFC, I think the spices almost the same!

I tried recently at the Expo outlet.

 

Flesh is juicy, like Arnold's. But size kinda small for the 3 pcs of chicken. For the original, I couldn't find any distinguished taste though it's nice. But I would have to give my preference to the spicy ver. It's more spicy compared to other ver provided by their competitors, which differentiates them and also the taste is nicer to me.

 

For the mash potato, the texture is softer but the taste loses out to KFC and Popeye's

 

For the biscuit, my vote goes to Texas and it's much more fluffy, softer and tastier than Popeye's

Very crispy and Tender but tasteless.

 

Arnold chicken is good but only for the Spring Chicken, pls don order their chicken parst.

They deep Fry upon order so waiting time may be long.

 

Popeye chicken is crispy but a bit tough.

 

KFC spicy chicken is too oily

Original chicken is nice but too SMALL..

I second the part about "tasteless" Texas Chicken. Tried the mashed potato, and the taste was off - Popeye's mashed is still better. Plus, Texas Chicken not cheap - I think it was $7+ for 2-piece meal.
