Looks like toyota cars in sg doesnt have black interior. From back then till now, whether it is vios, altis to camry, all comes with beige, cream or light colours. Wondering how come toyota cars here doesnt have black or dark grey interior? [:/]

 

 

It was decided by someone in Borneo that we only get the beige colour and low/mid trim of the available model.

 

Just like the silly person in SM which bought in Mondeo EcoBoost 2.0T without keyless entry.

My advise is to stay with Borneo for servicing. You have 5 years warranty, don't void it. Believe me as an owner of a Camry, you will need the warranty. I have replaced 1 set of motor for windows, 3 sets of shock absorber, 1 air-con compressor and 1 battery. Borneo is very prompt to replace faulty parts if you serviced with them.

I know for sure there are some good and cheaper workshops outside, but I don't know who they are. For peace of mind [rolleyes] , I have been with BM for almost 8 years for my previous and current camry [thumbsup]

Thanks for the advice. Have not read the T&C of the car warranty but would the warranty be void if not servicing with them during the warranty period?

Aftermarket rim and other non-functional cosmetic item will not void the warranty.

 

BM is lenient and uses common sense, unlike some other Korean brand dealer.

Any idea if tell them shock absorber like not as good as brand new that time, like not absorbing much shock, will they change for us during servicing? Mine a little worn I guess.

Hi,

Am new here

Just bought a 09 registered 2.4l m.I.t camry,

Wanna do mods but have no idea what to do as it's my first car,

Car is under warranty still.

Any advise on what can be done so as not to void the warranty (besides respraying the whole car color?)

Cos I really hate the silver color,makes it look like any ordinary Toyota car(no offense to other Toyota car owners)

 

Also I find the car a bit floaty...can anything be done to it?

Was thinking of changing the body kit(but duno go where change) to a body kit that is bigger in size so it's nearer to the ground,hence cut the amount of air going under the car so it won't be so floaty(is there such a logic?cos I just figured it out on my own)

 

Well the first mod I am gonna do is solar films (haha)

 

Well really hope to get advice from you great guys here.

Understand it does not come with HID Headlights,

Is it an offence if installed?

It is an offence to road hog with two wheels on Lane 1 and two wheels on Lane 2 (this model more common than other models on the roads for such traffic offence).

There are few chio Camry around.

 

Lowered the ride, change to bigger rims and BBK. Dark tinted solar film. Change the ugly front grill to chrome type without the logo.

 

For interior, the wooden colour looks very old. If willing to spend then do clubic printing to those darker colour to CF type. :wub:

Sent my car to BM for 30k servicing 2 weeks ago on a Saturday.

While there, the SA asked whether I would be interested in doing the extras of cleaning the engine, injectors, aircon and one more thing which I don't recall now for $99, or I can also select one of the four only.

 

As I needed the car back, i didn't do these stuff. Would it be necessary to do these at every 10,000km servicing?

I did once at the first 10,000km but not the subsequent ones.
