special pre-launch price was at $119,988...now since it's launched, i can't confirm the pricing...

that said, at such prices, you could get a EVO X RS (stripped bare version of the EVO) from PI...

liddat competing with STI A-Line leh...

but i called up the salesman from Subaru he say STI A-Line only 265bhp, same as Legacy 2.5GT...

JDM units put 300bhp leh...he say Japan has 105Octane petrol...singapore only max 98Oct so performance will be affected...but so badly meh??

that's a lost of 35 horses leh...???

but Impreza really cramp...rear legroom is useless, boot space for the hatch is almost non-existent...

i think if really only have 265bhp, might as well get the Legacy GT wagon??

So.. Anyone interested in getting one of these, now that they're already here?

Good for people like me who cant afford an Evo yet.

Anyone knows its current price? Worth the money?

Can also consider Civic Type R (the 4-DR PI one).

sorry to be a wet blanket but my advice is to save for the real thing ie. Evo. the lancer ralliart neither here nor there. if you get this, my suspicion is you will mod it to make it like an Evo. u can tune it up, install brembos, Evo bodykit/spoiler, Evo rims but there are still some electronic suspension gadgetry which I don't think you can do up. and if you do it all up, it will cost more than an Evo. end of the day, it's still not an Evo and you will feel like a small bro to other Evo owners.

hope u don't take it the wrong way. coming from someone who used to own a WRX and aspired to make it run faster than a STi

this car is not targeted at the evo crowd in the 1st place.

Zangetsu77: And the Type R used to be only $108,000.. Too late for regrets now. Haha!

Haha, no regrets bro. I got the SST when it first launched in 2008, literally S$30K cheaper back then when it was very hard to tune and hence much less popular, PI could bring in at S$130+K in 2008. Nevertheless detractors proven wrong as SSTs getting more and more aggressively tuned.

Why i bring up the CTR is bcos when my SST was stock, used to find the CTR a formidable challenge, esp. the tuned ones, can be really hard to shrug off on an SST. Only after stage II tune did the Evo become significantly faster and more nimble. I suspect the CTR throttle response must be very good, unlike the Evos (and hence the Lancer Ralliart) which has substantial e-throttle lag. This is not 100% correctable even with tuning somehow.

hmm, i thought with tuning or using devices like the pivot e-drive can help reduced the lag as the throttle can be opened faster and with lesser on the pedal depress? or is it that it is still incomparable with throttle controlled by cable?

Nope, somehow it feels like there's still a fraction of a second delay from flooring the throttle to the first revs. For GTR/Mercs i don't get that. Then factor in some turbo lag and you will be left feeling vulnerable.

What is the ralliart noise level? Closer to Evo or GL?

If it is quieter, noisy only when driven aggressively, then there may be market for people who likes car that is reasonably fast yet quiet.
