Educational kits: any suggestions?

I'm looking for educational kits on basic principles like: Motor, Hand-cranked generator, etc.

I've taken a look at Tamiya kits but found none suitable. If possible, the kit need to have large parts to put together, so that the components are visible and suitable to use for showing the working principles.

Any ideas what brand, line of product that offers this? Thanks for help/suggestion.

MPH and some well stocked bookshops are selling science experiment kits, you may wish to go take a look.

The bookshop at JP, Harris . . . yeah they may have [:)]

Something like this...

DC Motor Kit

or this...

Another DC Motor

But I'm looking for a local supplier, not retail, in order to purchase in some quantity.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Someone also suggested taking a look around sim lim.
