Malaysia: Road Trip to Desaru.....

I've visited Telok Sengat 3 times but I always ended up at the Chinese seafood restaurant, who sometimes charge inconsistent prices.

I didn't see this corner coffeeshop, so I'll keep a watch out for it next week I visit Desaru.

Are there yet others?

Any updates on Desaru? Thinking of going ..........

went there on 2 weeks ago. Won't be going back anytime soon.

most resorts pretty run down. Pulai is the best so far.

Further in abit, the chalet ones, Desaru beach or smthg like dat allegedly renovated recently.

Had dinner at Pengarrang, lobsters etc

lunch at Sengat.

Nothing much to do.

The beach so-so only, seem to have abit of slick on the sand. Waves quite small.

Don't bother with Kota Tinggi waterfall, its a sh1thole now. And you need to pay to get in.

Just got back from Lotus on Sunday. The place was packed with locals, and worse, there was a company event where the staff gets to stay overnight. The whole carpark was jammed back with cars.

Saturday was better, with manageable crowd. The water-park was fun for the kids, and so were the beach. Had dinner at this restaurant - Jade Garden at Sungei Renggit. Food was so-so, and more expensive than the one at Sengat, but somehow packed in all the Singaporeans.

Will go there again if the non-promotional price is not too prohibitive.
