Victor68 Turbocharged July 11, 2016 Share July 11, 2016 This is a big country with thousands of islands not like our little dot. It is not going to be easy but at least he started and try. ↡ Advertisement
Lala81 Hypersonic July 11, 2016 Share July 11, 2016 (edited) After he steps down from the presidency then judge his legacy and then can decide if DDT is effective or not. PH is quite fast one. 6 years, no re-election. Maybe the next round will be the son of the biggest Filipino thief ever. He's already a senator. No disrespect but hard to fathom how the pinoys are wired when you see some of the characters that have been elected.

Infamy seems like it can bring u political appeal Electing the son of the worst president you ever had (who looted the country virtually dry) to be a senator. Good job! I mean i can't understand what Benigno feels when he see Marcos Jnr. To see the son of the man who likely ordered the assassination of your lao peh being a senator in your country Edited July 11, 2016 by Lala81

Victor68 Turbocharged December 11, 2016 Share December 11, 2016 With more than 7,000 islands, it is a very difficult country to manage. The worse part is that they have been under USA colonization far too long. They squeeze them dry and let them rot. If they were have been under the British, probably better. They do need a strong hand to make changes. If this guy can help them within his term, I don't know. But I believe every little change is better than status quo. To me I think the US brought prosperity to them. They were one of the richest country in South East Asia back then....until the dictator Marcos plunder it dry. The scary thing is the govt, senate and whatever are children of the leaders who once lead the country downhill. So no matter who the ppl voted they are screwed. That's why they are so desperate they voted a mad man. But the mad man doesn't seem all that mad when he mend ties with China. Their economy is picking up unlike ours. From Marcos onwards whoever been president their children are in the senate. Not one or two in the family it's the whole lot. From the richest in S.E Asia to suddenly their women have to work as maid and has to be maid until now. You can't even begin to imagine how bad it is. After WWII all nations and all ppl are poor. Trade was the way to get back on their feet. Philippines was US's gate way to Asia and S.E Asia. Singapore, Malaysia, HK were British trade gate ways. Why these countries can prosper. I didn't made up the story that Philippines was once the richest nation in S.E Asia. You can Google it. Why it go from hero to zero you can ask any pinoy. Actually the pinoys were just like us .... laid back people with Kampung type living . They are supposed to be the happiest people in the world despite their poverty; They've been under the Spainiards, Americans and then Japs and Americans again liberated them. Then Marcos came and then things got really bad....My neighbour in the 70's was a Pinoy golfer married to an Aussie..... very happy man always ... See the Pinoys in Singapore...... always sing song and happy, most of the Banks call centres is answered by Pinoys, Nurses.... pinoys and of course domestic front also .... pinoys....... Seems like their DNA is like that happy happy one....... ours like don't know like what to say.....they got the "cool" factor ↡ Advertisement
