GoodCar 4th Gear November 10, 2009 Share November 10, 2009 I normally will want to wait for second or third batch car for nitty gritty to be iron out....hehe. Nowaday, car got a lot of electronic and software, so it will be good to let the AD to find out what is the best update for local condition. As a driver, I think a good practice is to power up the car first for the "computer" to "boot up" a bit and fuel pump to prime a bit, before cranking the engine. Just my thinking and opinion. A_nesta84 Clutched November 10, 2009 Author Share November 10, 2009 it think it is close choice between this model at least before 2010. All have it own pro and cons and is up to one to determine what you are satisfied with.
Silver_blade Turbocharged November 10, 2009 Share November 10, 2009 machiam like Microsoft release security and hotfix patches every month, cruz owners better check with AD every month on monthly updates and downtime to install patches :) Common among modern cars....that why ADs always ask you better to let them service the car all the time. Sometimes, they can have 4-6 patches in a year.
Kangadrool Supersonic November 10, 2009 Share November 10, 2009 (edited) Wah piang, so much softies. Hopefully, the car won't shut down automatically mid-way or suffer blue screen of death syndrome. Is that "STOP-START" button on some keyless entry cars supposed to mimick MxcroSxxx "Start-Shut Down" button? Keong731 Neutral Newbie November 5, 2010 Share November 5, 2010 Waiting for my Cruze 1.6AT shipment to arrive in Dec. Did not testing driven Avante and Forte, but when compaeing them based on appearence and specs: Looks: I like both Cruze and Forte, but prefer Cruze's exterior and interior Body size: Cruze is much larger in size than the other teo Power: Cruze is not as powerful though Safety: Cruze has the heaviest body, and got awarded for safety FC: Cruse worst of all! Nett Price: Bought it in early Nov 2010, Cruze is more exp than Avante (68k) but cheaper than Forte (73k) OMV: All about the same. Each car will suit different needs of the buyer :) However, for a family man like me, I would choose Cruze.

Junjie 1st Gear November 5, 2010 Share November 5, 2010 No, the Forte Windscreen issues isn't resolve yet, CnC just carry on with so-called free replacements and yes, it was promised to replace even after normal warranty expired. Many forte even experienced self cracked windscreen after driving for more than a year...Ask those Forte owners, in hot day, when driving with air-con on, u can hear piak piak sound from the windscreen, constantly having the fear not knowing when the crack will occur? Blackyv Turbocharged November 6, 2010 Share November 6, 2010 actually, the windscreen cracking problem also "common" with proton in MY as far as i was told by my relative.... it's due to sudden temperature fluctuation btw hot to cold too fast..... they said, to minimize the risk, is after parking under hot sun for too long, when driving off, open the window to let it balance up the temp slowly with aircon swithc on.... if all window closed and on aircon, the screen might crack.... that's what i was told, dont know how true... Liu38 Neutral Newbie November 7, 2010 Share November 7, 2010 You all can say what ever here. When come actual buying decision is different story. Best judgement is to look at the sales volume this year. Cruze sales is way below Forte and Avante. ↡ Advertisement
