I don't think joining/volunteering grassroot or RC will entitle you for phase 2B. You have to be a community leader, whatever that is.

I standard RC member - my passion card say "grassroots leader" but dunno what dat mean

Another thing to remember, "bo pao gia tio hor"... Especially those very popular schools. Although there are fewer children nowadays, it has been offsetted by more schools going into single session...

also offset by all those FT and FS

my fren hub went for it. all i can say is "the daddy occupation makes a world lot of difference" in the selection process :)

Agree on this. My wife have known one of the director at Raffles Girls Primary through her job. Wify was invited to give a one full day talk on chemistry to guarrentee our girl a place. Due to her job background, experience, networking. [sunny]

But since we have already guarrentee a place for Pei Chun Primary as im a ex-boy there, we drop the offer. Especially when choosing RGPS, she has to take the school bus. PC is a better choice cos its just opposite our house. And its also better for our younger boy to join the elder sis at the same school. [nod]

Maybe when she is in P4 or P5, we will consider tranferering her to RGPS..........that is if the offer is still available.

You should've sent your girl there, and then ask her to befriend one of the rich girls who stay around that neighbourhood so that you can go their place and pick her up everyday after school.

Teach her how to network from an early age, to give her an early edge! (Do you like my poetric skills?)
