The Japanese man had it worse many years ago.

IIRC the culture was such that when the husband company would ask for the wife bank account to transfer his salary 100%. It is only recently that a law was passed to change the ratio. Though majority still goes to wife account

 

One of my Korean colleague had told me before that 100% of his income goes into a joint account that is managed by his wife (not working then). Apparently to him, its quite normal.
