Yes no one is denying / has denied that your aunty is a victim(s), and you are entitled to be angry. We are just pointing out to you the other possiblities. Also, let's try not to be blinded with anger and the fact that the person is your aunt.

To be honest, it's very difficult for a/ the Taxi Driver to show concern to the passengers because of the following.

1) Passenger is a Stranger (no excuse though)

2) The amount of penatly Cabbies' company impose(d) on the Driver if the fault is found to be with him.

3) His daily living will be affected by this Accident(s) be it his fault or not.

Do note that unlike you and me who have a Job and collect(ing) monthly income. They have to pay rent. So of couse in the event of an (the) accident, they will think for themselves first cause they also have a family to feed. and if they see that the passengers are okay, the chances that they will attend to the passengers are very very low.

Also try to understand that the majority of the Taxi drivers in singapore are not educated.

p/s- edit those in bold for spelling and grammer.

This just shows the typical standard of "service" here. A Taxi service is not just ferrying of passengers from one point to another, which taxi companies think so. "Service" does not just stop here.

Service encompases many aspects, including the responsibility to ensure safety of all passengers, assistance to be rendered not just in the case of accidents but for any reasonable aspects which the passenger requires. Very likely, this is not in the SOP of taxi companies rendering a service to the public, where taxi drivers are educated and drilled how to react during an accident, what should be done first and last, etc. This is something lacking....

Not about whether livinghood is affected or whatever, it's about being professional in what they do, or rather if they were trained to do in the first place...

You are wrong here. in singapore, even if you do not speak english, its very easy to call ambulance.

Yes i did read into your other post. but the problem is your account is base on what your aunty told you. What i am suggesting is that the real incident might not be the same as what was said to you. Not saying that your aunty lie, but like you say she is in shocks, what she experience might not be what she had recorded.

maybe, my post sound too harsh.

yes i agree that any person, except a mute could have called 995 and sure someone would help u, even if u speak hokkien, a chinese would be able to help u.

but now my point is, why is the cabbie so irresponsible..

no matter if my aunt had exaggerate the situation or not, its the driver responsibility to check if everyone is ok, not even taxi drivers, if lets say my frnd is in my car and met wih an accident, i would have done make sure he/she is ok

i do agree that many of the pals here mentioned how hard the taxi drivers work. Be it a situation when the taxi is really at fault? or the car behind follows the taxi too closely. The liability of this accident, might or might not fall on the taxi....because it happens as a chain accident, taxi is the 2nd car from the front.

it could also turn out to be a 2-sided story. Taxi driver could have said he had tried to help her but she claims no need..

But from my point of view, definitely i will choose to believe my aunt. Imagine u see you close relative lying in hospital, couldn;t eat, couldn;t slp, pain over the whole body, how would you feel.

And the accident happened around 0945h. ambulance was only summon for after 1015h.

hey go to CASE. That will help. It's a complaint from a consumer's point of view. I encourage you to go all out with this one. Sometimes such people should be taught a good lesson. Don't you agree?
