1 barrel if i am not wrong around 150litres..

USD 77 per 110litres.. 1 litre = USD 0.51.. 1 litre of crude not even S$0.80..

include all the cracking of crude + transportation cost.. think they make minimum ba..

dont forget, petrol is online ONE of the products from the crude oil, the crude oil is able to make shitloads of stuff too after getting the petrol out of it.

Not all the crude can be made into petrol through distillation, only abt 40% the rest needs to be cracked. However, the others are also able to be sold to make products requiring them like plastics, cosmetics etc etc.

Hi,

I'm a student from Singapore Management University embarking on a project in course, Technology & World Change. My team is intending to build a device which will solve the tailgating issue in Singapore.

As we all know, tailgating is a major cause for most accidents. Our device works like this:

1. A sensor will be attached to the front of the vehicle to detect the distance between itself and the car in front.

2. Once the sensor detects tailgating, meaning a distance of less than 1metre between 2 cars, it will trigger an alarm to the driver. To notify him that he is tailgating the car in front.

The full mechanics and details of our device have yet to be finalized. However, we'd like to hear from you, your views and takes on our innovation.

We hope that you guys can give us feedback on our innovation!

Please revert to us at [email protected].

Thanks!!

Bro lets start a new topic...

ALL BROs READING THIS... 2MOLO EVERYONE TAKES PICTURES OF CARS QUEUING UP TO PUMP $1 PETROL.... SEE WHO CAN TAKE THE PICTURE WITH THE LONGEST QUEUE!!! SEE WHO CAN TAKE PIC OF PPL QUEUE CUTTING, FIGHTING, CHILDREN RUNNING AROUND... DRIVERS WHO NEED A SMOKE BREAK...

WONDER HOW MANY PAGES WILL THE NEW PAPER USE FOR THE STORY... the trouble ppl will go through to save this amt... no offense... i would surely pump also, provided the queue is short short one... [thumbsup]

one of the most obscure and ulu station that will have no queue would be the one oppersite sembabwang shopping complex. I heard the last national day 44% was ralatively uneventful.

I will be heading there soon ...hopefully same situ...

You got this brilliant idea but I think in the market already have this technology. So I think there's nothing to research or shout about. If not wrong,I forgot is jap market or german automobile already looking into this kind of passenger safety.Like some bro mention,it's the attitude of the driver, not the car.No much sensor will work if the driver wants to tailgate.Maybe you want to consider instead of beeping, the car will actually maintain a 1.5m following distance from car in front. At the same time, the speed must be at least 50km/h and above before the sensor kicks in.No point having sensor working at 20 to 30km/h or lesser as it's damn irritating during jams or stopping at traffic lights.Just my 2 cents worth.
