Fpchong 1st Gear November 3, 2009 Share November 3, 2009 you have to consider the available spare parts for repairs and maintenance if you buy the edrix. Knowing that Honda had stop the production of the Edrix. If you are not towards the performance, you might try the new 2.0 Wish from BM or Trajet from KMC. My friend is on his 2nd Trajet 2.0 as there is no other model which can match the spacious of Trajet and the price.
Shanhz 3rd Gear November 3, 2009 Share November 3, 2009 (edited) i'm an edix driver myself and i got my car 2nd hand.. now it's 4 yrs old already... my comments: 1) manually calculated FC is around 11.8km/l to 12.5km/l... consistently so, jams or no jam 2) go get a used edix instead of the new edix, becoz sitting arnd in warehouse alot of parts are no good already. better buy a used and travelled edix with decent mileage (aver 20k per year), at least the mechanical parts are working even if got wear and tear 3) edix is a good car, but lousy soundproofing. nothing you cannot fix on your own. parts are common with other cars, except for body parts difficult to get is true. that will only happen in accident cases.. mechanical parts is fine 4) the 3+3 config is good. you dun like, fold down the centre front seat as armrest. 5) kids seating not a prob. back you can sit 3 coz the car is very wide. front middle is ok to seat but must push back the seat all the way. 6) seating 7 also no prob since the back row is broad and possbile to squeeze 7) good turning radius despite being so fat 8) this car will have its appeal despite being EOL becoz it's the only car on the mkt with 3+3 config. it's a love or hate relationship one of the very main reason why i chose this car over the stream/wish (cost diff was negligible to me) is that i feel that in a rear ended accident, edix is safer.. it's height also quite high (think slightly higher than stream, same height as wish)... Alfisti168 1st Gear November 3, 2009 Share November 3, 2009 Your typical journeys contain what proportion of city traffic and highway cruising?
Shanhz 3rd Gear November 3, 2009 Share November 3, 2009 i would say 80 highway, 20 city but the 80 highway is half jam type... fyi, i was driving crv 2.4L previously and it was giving me average of 9.5 on the same road and traffic condition... replicated that on my edix 1.7L, i am getting 11.8 to 12.5... Lammy84 Neutral Newbie November 4, 2009 Share November 4, 2009 Hi GK Mok, I'd like to share my experience with you. I also bought a car YOM 2007 Jan 2009 this year and have no problems after 10 mths. I bought mine basically $500 more than the Basic Cost (OMV X 2.27 + $140 reg fee). SE has to fit in Reverse Camera, LCD Headunit to it. He confirms cannot give leather seats though.. Initially he ask about $7k above with RCam, ICE, LS, 3M mat etc... What I want to say is this - quote him $xxx more than Basic cost. He might take it as he is more desperate than you. Mine is not showroom car as I saw it with protective Stickers and dirt all over. As for the tyres, so far no problem... Yours may be a showroom car you know... check the mileage. If alot - ask for the sky... as I consider it 2nd hand already... Hope you get what you wanted... So far no problem because you are only in year 2 of the tyre. Problems like this show no symtoms before they cause something serious. http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/story?id=129404&...ge=1&page=1 Dont forget here in SG our weather is permanantly hot and 80% stop go traffic, to see what a tyre goes through when you accelerate from stop, just go google, im lazy to spoon feed you. Got money buy car dont save the few hundreds on the part of your car bearing the full weight of the car + keeping in contact with the roads. Everything can save, tyres/brakes dont play play. Find too expensive to change when needed/maintain please take bus/cab/train. If ur tyre burst and u crash to ur death and only u on the road then too bad, dont take others along with you. Next time u drive on eways, take note of those black junk thats seems to be on the road, its actually the outer layer of the tyre, just saw 1 along CTE yesterday evening. Saw it almost happen to an rx8 on the track at pasir gudang. Dont say it wont happen cuz when it happens its too late for you to regret.
Lammy84 Neutral Newbie November 4, 2009 Share November 4, 2009 Thats the amazing thing about a honda engine. My k20a with stage 2 cams and IHE + tuning pushes about 240bhp at crank. Only my auto car if i keep revs below 3k, i can hit 9-11km/l depending on traffic conditions, amazing for an auto car. But once start to drive with spirit, GG 7-9km/L :(

I analyse it and found these : Status OMV X2.27 COE RTx+Misc Car Cost PI Comm Sell Price Actual 20 45.4 20 0.64 66.0 5k 71.0k Under 18 40.9 20 0.64 61.5 5k 66.5k OverD 22 49.9 20 0.64 70.6 5k 75.6k <Special offer 71.0k> If the car was OverDeclared OMV, the basic cost is still same since Actual Cost for him is 20+(22x1.27) + COE+RTx... = 68.6k So it looks like discount but actually they still make some money Just my calculation, I may be wrong...
