Yorkshire 3rd Gear October 20, 2009 Share October 20, 2009 (edited) read from straits times... a 23 months old toddler was kicked, stamped and punched to death by her own father sallehan, just because she was found playing with his cigarettes which ended up spewed on the floor. the mother rozanah was alleged to have hit the toddler's back with a broom stick but she has denied... the father is on trial now but not the mother, the father faces the death penalty if found guilty. i maybe wrong, but lately appears to have quite a few child abuse and torture cases involving malays.. if there are malay bros in this forum, do share your views & thoughts. in my own opinion, these 2 m****** f****** should be shot!! i swear that if i ever see this rozanah on the street, she will get a tough one from me. sallehan & rozanah, if you ever read this forum, are you human? she was your own fresh & blood! you bloody f****** murderer! i hope both of you die a terrible death! strike by lighting! run down by cement truck! gore by pigs! you f***!! sorry mods.. really angry reading such sad cases about kids.. Mechwira 1st Gear October 20, 2009 Share October 20, 2009 well i guess if anybody wants to get racial about it, we can also talk about incidents of con jobs, alcoholism and gambling addiction and ask opinions from people from the ethnic group displaying each of these social problems most prevalently. they're also ethnic-specific. so what? should i start stereotyping certain ethnic groups by the social problem they display? then i shouldn be visiting a shop or business front owned by a person of a particular race solely because his ethnic group displays most frequently of con jobs? does that sound right? the problem i find when a person mentions skin colour in relation to a social problem is 99% of the time it turns into a 'holier than thou' attitude. why your skin colour always do this kind of thing? Nikamura Neutral Newbie October 20, 2009 Share October 20, 2009 well. i guess this happens in all races . maybe its just coincidence that the last few cases which happens concerns a particular race which i dont think is nice to mention. but nevertheless is not the race. but the upbringing and the background. 1) similarities seen in all the cases involving single parents or broken family. 2) death caused by "boyfriend" and not immediate family. 3) most of the parents have bad records. 4) Immediate family also plays a part when they noticed about unusual wounds and bruises but no one wanna act? Not the race to be blamed . but the family members themselfs to be blamed.

Thug Clutched October 20, 2009 Share October 20, 2009 Child abuse doesn't belong to certain ethnic group in fact its everywhere and everyone of us can be a potential abuser. Simply depend on how patient are u towards a child. I know of a family. Both parent working and left their few months old baby with a chinese aunty, 40+ yrs old. That faithful night at home, after picking up their baby from the nanny, the baby starts to bleed thru ears and nose. Its eyes turn white but still alive. Rushed to hospital and found out the baby was bleeding in her brain. After much investigation they found out it was the nanny. Apparently the nanny shook the baby with all her might just becoz the baby wouldn't stop crying. The baby is now 1 or 2 yrs old. Constantly had a tube in her nose to help her breathe better. I've witness many child abuse cases, be it serious or mild. Its everywhere and everyone can be the abuser.
Zizou 2nd Gear October 20, 2009 Share October 20, 2009 i belong to the race of the offenders. having been involved in social work, and served ns as a man in blue, i can't generalise that such behaviour (infant abuse) is prevalent only among a certain race. i don't have access to statistics but anecdotal evidence suggests if there is a common denominator, it is usually economic hardship coupled with substance abuse. but it is disturbing that there is a growing segment of the community who seem to have fallen through the cracks. The community leaders are working hard to guide them, but you can only lead the horse to the water. These kids, usually heavily tattooed, uneducated, unmotivated, lacking moral values nor religious knowledge , lack positive role models and are typically victims of abuse/broken marriages themselves. its a very unfortunate cycle. Premarital sex is the norm and usually leads to pregnancies and shotgun marriages. They are then burdened with a child they are not prepared for, and have no bloody idea how to raise one. i once visited a rental flat where the parents are knocked out cold from drinking, and their 4 yr old kid swears and smokes. very sad. Some try to mend their ways but soon realise with their past, they have no future and that they've bitten off more than they can chew. The stress compounds, they go back to their old habits (alcohol, drugs, mounting debt) and with their addiction, no discipline (to hold down any job), maturity, way out nor self-restraint, they just spiral out of control and its just a matter of time before they snap at the slightest trigger. ↡ Advertisement
