Kianbeng Clutched October 19, 2009 Share October 19, 2009 I feel the response is slow. ie when looking at a newly arrived sms, trying to send out sms, ....basically I realised I cannot catch up with replying to ppl's sms. Btw, I'm not the super fast type already. ie try to send a sms to someone....it's so slow and end up the fastest way is to press "phone", type the number, and press "sms" button. But you have to do it slowly otherwise the SMS could have no recipient. For a phone that has 800mhz cpu, I think it's slow. iphone also don't have so fast cpu and yet it's faster. But ok lah can't compare. omnia2 is much cheaper than iphone. is it possible to disable the "sent sms notification"? It's damn slow and thats one of the reason why I'm so slow in replying now. Have to wait till the sms notification is over then I can type another sms.

Vvix 1st Gear October 20, 2009 Share October 20, 2009 The phone is good. Got it since the 1st day it was launched locally. Still using the original ROM. Never hanged on me once. As mentioned by other members, the notification for sent sms can be disabled. Some times the phone feels sluggish because the 800MHz CPU was automatically slowed down to reduce performance, so that the battery can last longer. To make the phone zippy, just set the performance to always be HIGH instead of AUTO.
Tjkbeluga 5th Gear October 20, 2009 Share October 20, 2009 (edited) First batch of Omnis II user. Still using first firmware. After installing spb gui, its not laggy anymore. What I like most bout this phone is their core player is damn efficient. Used to watch drama series while commuting to work. Per chapter of about 45 min takes up about 20% batt only. Just installed garmin app too and its very usable and gps used little batt too. However, its not a perfect phone. Basic function like phone, sms and web I still prefer IPhone. Dont use their default sms. The lagginess will drive you nuts. Using the default MS sms and made it threaded and its definitely much better. Pet peeve: 1) Samsung keyboard sometimes shows nothing when you type. 2) Opera bookmark will always go missing after a few days of usage. Anyway, in any winmo phone, its always good to reboot the phone after few days to ensure stability. Btw, I'm using the phone itself to write this posting now... Its laggy if browsing the web horizontally. ↡ Advertisement
