Ya this filter not as expensive as K&N and easier to maintain. Just take out use water to hose it all the dirt will come out. And it is better then stock paper ones. In the long run still better as you have to change stock filter once in a while. Power wise pick up increase a bit. My low end improved more then mid to high end.

I heard hurricane SS air filter not recommended for turbocharged cars... cos the poor filtration can let small particles pass through and damage the turbine ??

K&n ish only about 80 or 90 SGD for drop in type...

Hurricane is at least 120 to 140 SGD..

I currently use Hurricane on both my cars. No complaints. I used to be a KnN fan, but lazy to wash and oil

Turbocharged

Although I used to wonder if all these so called performance enhancing parts do help, and why don't the car manufacturers themselves installed them if they work.

I have used 1 or 2 of these items that I feel make sense but I didn't really able to account the difference. Take for example of the talk of having higher voltage for spark plugs to ensure better burning of the fuel. I don't agree with that theory. Coil can be designed to discharge much higher voltage if necessary by the manufacturer. It is the optimal voltage that count not the higher the better.

No offence but my take is that its not usefull, It only make you suffer on the low end. look at the filler, have you ever wonder why it can take in more air? The filtration for that filter is to big to trap partical. For some of the bro that are using it, i will suggest you get some mech to clean you thr-body more offten.

cheers

hold the ss filter under light n see - much bigger lobangs than K&N n other types. plus ecu WILL recompensate a/f mixture.

conclusion - either stock or K&N at most.
