Yeobh 4th Gear October 21, 2009 Share October 21, 2009 Most Asia econonmic cars are using McPherson struts, this design has fix Camber and castor setting. Due to accident /damage struct mounting many shops as re using eccentric screw and mounting plates with elongated holes to set the camber and castor angles. For Independent wish bone suspensions both camber and castor angle can be set using simple gauge with water bubble leveler. ↡ Advertisement
Garlic 1st Gear October 21, 2009 Share October 21, 2009 Yes, it can be done if the tyres are remounted. It's going to cost more though which IMO is not economically viable

Yuan 6th Gear October 21, 2009 Share October 21, 2009 Many tyre shops in Spore are only doing half of the business opportunities present to them. They only sell and service tyres but did not bother to extend thier business to do wheel alignment which is a very logical business lateral expansion. Why it's so, because most many may lack the knowledge necessary to do wheel alignment, the other reason, I reckon, is space constraint. They do sell battery but hardly have the capacity and tools to do auto electrical troubleshooting. If they will to look hard at all these missed business opportunities, tyre shops can be turned into a much profitable auto centres I know of 1 local tyre shop who does wheel alignment altogether with its sale and servicing of tyres. Yes, space is a constraint but the boss I think only has 1 mechanic to assist him.
