Friendstar Supercharged October 18, 2009 Author Share October 18, 2009 One thing I can't get over with about the Forte (both saloon and koup) are the interior door handles (the ones you pull to open the doors). They felt like toy door handles, made of very hard plastic sprayed with silver paint and feels very flimsy and loose. Although the interior is full of hard plastic, it doesn't irritate me as much as this door handle then u should buy the EX version. its black in color. hhahaha but i do agree with u. ↡ Advertisement

Stary Turbocharged October 18, 2009 Share October 18, 2009 Copen so tiny, run risk of being run over by big trucks I am always amazed by the fact that the Copen can still move when a big man is driving it inside.... Wait....maybe the man looks big only because he is inside the Copen!!
Jessica123 Neutral Newbie October 18, 2009 Share October 18, 2009 you are putting Scirocco, Civic Type R and Copen on the same level?? lifestyle statement - Scirocco yes, Type R maybe, Copen only yes if you are 18. Just wondering , which is more comfortable to drive ? Scirocco or Type R or Copen, I'm considering buying a car too ,

Vega Turbocharged October 18, 2009 Share October 18, 2009 Just wondering , which is more comfortable to drive ? Scirocco or Type R or Copen, I'm considering buying a car too , the 2L Roc has a comfort and sports mode. if you want relax driving, use comfort mode. if you want stiffer suspension and sharper steering, press the sports mode. Type R is definitely more harsh on your butt.

Turtlekar 2nd Gear October 19, 2009 Share October 19, 2009 Nice car, but it's going to be another swift again...Look at the spec, it's 1.3 tonne....and bhp is 156....different class with the vw/ctr or even the copen lah....
Vega Turbocharged October 19, 2009 Share October 19, 2009 i read somewhere that the 1.4 TSI is a better drive. get behind the wheel and decide. the 1.4L being lighter and supported with SC + TC is really fun to drive but if you are someone thinking of modding this car, there are limitation to the 7 speed DSG. i read somewhere 250 nm of torque is the max the 7 speedier can go without damaging it in the long run. D_bergkam 1st Gear October 19, 2009 Share October 19, 2009 Read the review here : Kia Cerato Koupe 1.6 review First thing they say is that the car is underpowered! Plus gearbox is 4 speed nia. Engine and transmission don't match its looks. In other words, its a POSER CAR!
Cttan456 2nd Gear October 19, 2009 Share October 19, 2009 Well, when a car looks as good as this, people expect more but don't forget, it is selling for only 4k more than the sedan and for 58k (1.6M) to 70k(2.0A) how can we expect it to perform like a sports car? The top model is selling for the price of a Altis 1.6 and that is bread and butter pricing. So lets be objective and don't forget that its not a matter of its performance not matching its looks. Truth is, it has the looks that lead people to expect sports car performance and in the process, forgetting what they are paying for. So kudos to Kia for a very sucessful styling excercise. It is such cars that brighten our roads and brings more choices for consumers and for a mere entry level price of 58K, that is unbeatable! What else can you get for 58K? I bet nothing as interesting as the Koup.

D_bergkam 1st Gear October 19, 2009 Share October 19, 2009 I actually don't mean that the Kia Cerato Koup is a lousy car, or that one should not buy it. Just that its performance don't match its looks. Taking into account its selling price, it may be a worthy car to buy. ↡ Advertisement
