Some car boots - you need a lot of force to close them. I tell my friends to be gentle when they need to close my boot.

[laugh] My boot has to be closed hard relatively to my friend's ride. So often I have to tell my friend to close harder!!! [:p]

Reminds me of my ex-boss, I accidentally slammed his Volvo boot quite hard after loading some stuff. Almost within a week, when visiting another customer with my car, he volunteered to load for me and purposely slammed my boot really hard, not that accidental type of hard. Really narrow-minded, No wonder biz cannot grow, all out to eat others only, many customers feedback to me my ex-boss wanted 'win-win' situation, both win for himself. [laugh] sorry too much grouses.

How come you would remember that you accidentally slammed his boot lid hard? Did he mention it to you?

His face showed it. Anyone who work with someone for at least 3 years, definitely know what the other is thinking from the expression and body language. [laugh]

You would definitely know when you have slammed a door too hard, especially if it's accidental. We would visit customers together quite often so he is accustomed to how hard to close the boot, likewise for me how hard to close his car boot without slamming.

no... what I mean is whether BMW got slow-closing boot + Sensor or not... haha.

Come to think of it... even the Mitsubishi Clot Plus also have this feature.

as the car ages, who knows whether it can withstand such closing?

I think the car's structure and integrity should have enough tolerance for hard closure of the boot, thus won't affect the wiper or rear speakers. I am sure manufacturers have thought of everything and factored them when they produced the car, including the consideration of layman users or street person closing the boot hard.

I used to drive a 17 year old COE ride and many people have been closing my boot very hard for years. Up till the day I scrapped the car, there is nothing wrong with the boot, wiper or rear speakers.
