Maddriver 4th Gear October 10, 2009 Share October 10, 2009 What will be the next procedure after using compound with cutting pad? Polishing with 501 > seal up the paint with trackclaw? Bro Alex..As usual..A normal maintenance QD..No need to use cutting compound often..Sometimes just have 501 with polishing pad will do..501 has great cleaning properties..having compound unless you are doing some mild correction and also not all compound cleans even though they cut well.. I attach 2 pics send over from our neighbouring country.. Hi Liew, Attached are two photos that I took of the result of DG501. I used it immediately after washing the car with double-strength NXT carwash. Car was clayed .polished with M105 and M205 1 week ago . I actually went through two applicator pads (both sides) because a lot of dirt came out. After finishing with DG501 I proceeded to use M105/M205 via G220 with Softbuff 2.0 yellow polishing pad. It was easier to use M105/M205 after cleaning with DG501. There was almost no dust. Without using DG501 I found that both M105 and M205 dry out very quickly and produce a lot of dust .You are right and thanks for the advice and sharing even you are not selling the Meguires..You are cool and real sifu ..ha sorry to give you this status again. don get angry

Sound a little weird to me because if DG 501 is a AIO, it should leave something behind that will hinder the polishing stage. Just my opinion... Maddriver 4th Gear October 13, 2009 Share October 13, 2009 Sifu, Thanks for the info Thumbs up for Duragloss! Once I have finished my SRP, I will get DG501 from you. Trackclaw is already so hardcore how abt 501? Wah dun call me sifu..haha..i maybe right and i maybe wrong..hehe #501 and trackclaw are 2 different things..An AIO vs a LSP..#501 has strong cleaning properties which trackclaw dun have..Trackclaw is a sealant that has lot of teflon compared to the other DG sealant..The teflon does not increase any protection but produce a very very slick finish..this is where you get the wet look.. Just my opinion... yes dschia, that statement intrigues me too....wonder how is it possible... it would mean the M105/M205 is riding/layered on the DG501. which is not we want to do in the first place, right? we want the M105/M205 go to the bare metal instead of on top of another thing. Jackson..It should not cut well with M105 having #501 underneath and for sure less dusting with an AIO underneath but to me..there is no can or cannot..Is whether it works or not.. For me..I will mix m205 with #501 on a white pad for a norm polishing becos m205 does not have much cleaning in it..

Sound a little weird to me because if DG 501 is a AIO, it should leave something behind that will hinder the polishing stage. Just my opinion... Hi ds, After buff off the dg501, I adviced him to wipe with his Meg NXT shampoo mix before proceed to M105/205. Actually this user called me and seeking some advice after he encounter "problems" while working with his Meg da 220+M105/205. His pad are 7" and the products dry up while moving the DA for 1 feet ..Then is better if pour more products but still quite difficult and lots of dust... and more dust. So I try to und his paint condition + previous maintenance which was respray 6 months ago (bad respray work to me if looking at the pic) and did not wash as frequent as he used to be. Prior meet up recently, he just done 2 NXT strong dillu wash -clay then polish with M105-205 ----- (my previous advice) .. the polishing process doesn't work for him hence I suspect his paint are darn dirty ..I reco him to prepsol down or use mercury 6000 but he dun hv . So I advice him to try one panel dg501 paint cleaning before proceeding to polish again. Well~ it works for him and I know is a double effort and i dun reco either. Anyway, he proceed other panels with DG501 only since it is so much faster and did not proceed further with M105/205. He also needs to do for his other carsss. He should be using m105 wrongly, i.e not priming properly, not working straight with it etc. Anyway, since he got your technical support, sure no problem! lol

He should be using m105 wrongly, i.e not priming properly, not working straight with it etc. Anyway, since he got your technical support, sure no problem! lol I did asked him his way of priming the pad .. 1st try- pour products to pad, set to speed 1 and press down a bit on pad . 2nd attempt - spray with his Meg QD on pad, set to speed 1 and follow the same method. ↡ Advertisement
