Shorty,

It is good that you went for a good polishing. Hope it was done a full detail job and done correctly and properly.

 

Now, to maintain it, speaking from experience, what is normally done:

 

Wash properly. Not at petrol station car wash. But wash yourself with 2 bucket system.

 

Then after wash use DG951 Aquawax. Spray on, then wipe with a soft plushy MF. You should have gotten the plushy premium MF that was on promo by DG Singapore. If not, I suggest get it. Better to use that MF in applying/wiping the DG951 and DG521. Will not add scratch/mar the paint.

 

Then during the week (assuming you wash the car on the weekend) if there is bird poo on your car, use DG521, to wipe it away. Spray on the bird poo, then wipe it off. Some even spray the cloth with DG521 in addition to spraying the bird poo directly, to soften the MF somemore.

 

If the car is parked with shade = park at underground or park at covered car park all day and only used at night or on weekends; so the car should still be clean except maybe for some light dust. Dampen the plushy premium MF first (either with water or with DG521, preferably DG521), then spray DG521 on the car also, then wipe off the dust.

 

Frequency of use:

DG951: I would use it every other car wash. Assuming you wash the car every week.

DG521: I would use it when needed.

 

The rule of thumb here is, use minimal product spray. e.g. at most 3 spray for hood, 1-2 spray for side panels (door, quarter panels). if too much may cause smearing for DG951 and wastage for DG521.

 

Places to avoid usage:

Front and rear windscreen with wipers. May cause wiper to judder like if use Rain-X. Side windows can use but I prefer to use dedicated car window cleaner for them.

Bro Siamond..can be used for cleaning bird poos..finger prints and some stains..QD has some anti-static in it..Most of them i know of uses a qd to clean and finish with AW..but like i have say..depends on yr need..
