Sorry to bump this old thread, but does anyone know if there is any workshop in the North West area that does side slip testing and can also do the necessary adjustments to correct any excessive side slip?

I used to go to Creative Trdg at Woodlands Indl PK E1 b4 but they now do a lot of hanky-panky so I strongly dont advise u to go there.

Now I going to Kenny or a new lobang in JB which I hv yet to try.

Last time went for inspection (car 5th year) failed side slip test and went to nearby workshop that

fellow use a spanner adjust adjust and say ok and ask me to pay and go back sure pass.

Go back to inspection centre and was told need to pay the fee for re-inspection WTF, although it

passed. This time round another car 5th year and required inspection think I better go for wheel

alignment before going down for inspection. But I heard now there won't be any re-inspection fee if

go back on the same day after rectified the failed issue thing.

Failing Side slip test is considered a major fault and therefore the overall result is fail.

So is advisable to do wheel alignment before going down for inspection?

My car coming to 5 years never do any wheel alignment all along, although

during the 3rd yr inspection it passed without me bother to do any pre-inspection work.

I went to Kenny's before. He's good, but the service I received wasn't particularly outstanding. I even called him to make an appt and end up his apprentice was the one who attended to me while he was busy with a conti car. Maybe he see my kimchi car no up or something. I just need to fix the side slip problem since my camber and toe are most likely correct as per my last visit to Kenny's shop. Unfortunately they didn't do any side slip test for my car, and when I returned to his shop after a test drive outside, he hastily adjusted something (the tie rod I think) and asked me to go again. Seemed like he couldn't wait to get me to leave.

Thanks for calling to check bro. I think I just need to do the mechanical side slip thingy. My toe and camber settings are most likely good since the thread wear on my last set of tyres was pretty even.

Most car fail these two major tests - side slip and brake. Therefore it is advisable to go for pre-inspection checks conducted by shops that have the trained mechanics and tools.

Basically , the shop that carried out computerised wheel alignment did not have to do a drive test if they have invested in a simple side slip tester.
