Chilli_crab 2nd Gear October 5, 2009 Author Share October 5, 2009 Treasure hunting? In a way, yes. My sis-in-law lost jewelry, including rings of sentimental value, worth over $20K recently. The prime suspect was her maid. So, I was thinking of using a metal detector to help me hunt for the missing items, if they are still hidden somewhere in her house. Bro, how you want to detect wor....as long there is metal around, when the detector go near it, it will sound off, i think if you scan through the whole house, which most corner had metal, you will be very busy searching every corner then, so no point using the metal detector unless you are scanning the maid.... SimonTan 2nd Gear July 5, 2012 Share July 5, 2012 If you want the Wand type, like those used in airports, then SimLimTower got sell. Perhaps they also have those circular ring type used for finding metal in the fields. All over the house got ferrous metal, so it's hard to detect theft using such scanners. I suppose the Wand type will be easy to scan the Clothings in the woredrobe without upheaval the entire cabinets. It will not arouse suspicion from the maid as the Clothings are not messed up. Good luck. Yes...maids sometimes bad ones are nothing by headaches.

Kingsleyke Neutral Newbie August 3, 2013 Share August 3, 2013 (edited) Newbie here. I'm a green hand treasure hunter. Is there any treasure hunter here? What did you found these two month? All I found these two months are several unknown coins, I've already lost my interests in treasure hunting. Plan to sale my Underground Gold Treasure Metal Detector with 3.5 Meters Depth. It has the function of distinguishing ferrous and non-ferrous metal. Asked for only $280, delivery free. Just bought two month ago. Alanang Neutral Newbie February 24, 2014 Share February 24, 2014 There's an online store at https://store.mdfanatic.com/ which sells a few brands here in Singapore and Asia. You may want to conduct more research online before making any purchase because metal detectors can be quite specialised for each model. There are those that work for wet sand, there are those that discriminates iron, those that works well in mineralised grounds, VLF ones, multi frequencies, pulse induction types, and there are those that are water proof and can dive deep into the sea for detecting the sea bed. A few forums that you may be able to check out more about metal detectors, treasurenet, friendly metal detecting forums and findmall. These are excellent sites to learn more about this interesting hobby.
