Like to add that everyday I return home with my narrow street jammed with these inconsiderate diners parking their cars along the residential street creating a big mess for people staying there. Yes, Loy Kee at the other end of Shaw Plaza has better chicken rice with traditional thick black sauce and ginger. Why not BTK? Did anyone experience when ordering, if you do not order crabs or fish the waiters will ignore you and not give you any attention? Some more, their chicken has a layer of fat under the shin and occasionally bloody, chewy like it's not properly cooked?.

Had lunch in BTK(Balestial) last week. We witness some customer complained to the manager about cashier's attitude.

Customer waited too long for their change, went towards the cashier counter. Saw them stand there for 3-4mins while cashier talking on the phone.

They then remarked to another waitress who casually ask the cashier. We heard the cashier shouted in cantonese " already bill, ask them to wait ".

We too were stunned when both the waitress and cashier just walked away...leaving the 2 customer looking for the manager.

SUPER GOOD and affordable. One plate only cost $2.50. But super nicE!!!

You will not regret it.

You must not be a chicken rice fan then.

BTK balestier used to be one of my TOP favourites, back in the days when they only sell, well, chicken rice.

The last time I went, the waitress didn't even allow me to order specific parts of the chicken like drumsticks etc.

[thumbsdown] [thumbsdown] [thumbsdown] [thumbsdown] [thumbsdown]

The last time I when BTK at Balastier to pack chicken rice, they insist that they only have the standard set avaliable for take away. It comes with chicken + veg + some fried stuff + rice, pack in a custom s.foam lunch box and cost >>> than than the usual $3+ I paid in the past.

The veg and fried stuff taste horrible, especially after the 20mis journey home and ended up in the bin. I've not gone back since. [thumbsdown]
