An earthquke just hit Central California, less than 3 days after a big one half the world away in Sumatra.Seems like the Tectonic and Teutonic earth plates are playing havoc. It this a pre-cursor to bigger things?

Heard of the Pacific ring of fire? After having a fair amount of rumble on one end, i think it is fairly normal to expect some reverberations on the other edge of the rim.

Yes I do know of the Pacific Rim of Fire....but Sumatra is along the Indian Ocean.....other side of the 'world'.The plates of the P R o F,as the name implies rims the Pacific Ocean.

I can't help but feel that the biblical prophecies are slowing revealing themselves. From the 1947 return of Israelites to their homeland and the recent tsunami, earthquakes (more frequent in the last 50 years as compared historically), I'm pretty sure the end is near, might even be in my lifetime, juz dunno when is it. Anyway, that's juz my view.

Yes i do agree with you that the name as a descriptive term is a little misleading but here you go, go read up here. The central ridge in Sumatra is part of the Pacific Rim/Ring of fire.

Pacific Ring/Rim Of Fire

There is a image showing the range of the Pacific Ring of Fire on that page too.

Taiwan......this morning.Anyone want to hazard a guess where next?.......I think it will strike Japan next.

Just called my wife. Glad she is safe in Taiwan.

Maybe is a good idea to avoid traveling to these earthquake prone countries for this period of time.

But if one is destined to die...it doesn't matter where you are. life is unpredictable.
