Sunnycrowe Clutched September 27, 2009 Share September 27, 2009 90% is due to car n team tactics, while driver is only 10%.... Take Jenson button for example..... las yr only got 3 to 5 pts (for the whole season)... this year oredi got 84 pts with 3 more races to go.... Ithunk 1st Gear September 27, 2009 Author Share September 27, 2009 nope not at all.....he got first last year....and 3rd this year 2 podiums.....so its the driver....not the car

Stary Supercharged September 27, 2009 Share September 27, 2009 It seems that for the Singapore race, as long you focus and don't screw up by making silly mistakes, you should be able to get some good points. This is because for sure the Safety car will come out and this circuit is very prone for driver (or car) to make mistakes (or mechanical failures). So just don't screw up and let others make mistake and that's it.
Ithunk 1st Gear September 27, 2009 Author Share September 27, 2009 well but it is true FA made the podium his.....from fifth in qualifying.... then 4th during the race then 3rd

Uniquely Singapore!

KapitanE 1st Gear September 28, 2009 Share September 28, 2009 Hamilton's team strategy was fantastic... did you people see the first pit stop he made..... into the pit, out of the pit, without losing his first position. That was truly great planning...
Watwheels Supersonic September 28, 2009 Share September 28, 2009 It's down to team effort. No one man or car can do it on his own.
Watwheels Supersonic September 28, 2009 Share September 28, 2009 nope not at all.....he got first last year....and 3rd this year 2 podiums.....so its the driver....not the car This is his only podium for this season so far. Having a good driver is one thing, having a good car is another. There are approx. 700 over ppl working on the car and behind the scenes. It's all team effort. Babyt 4th Gear September 28, 2009 Share September 28, 2009 i think its true...the driver driving the car just need to accelerate or brake...its more of team effort and coordination via radio....the team can see how the car is moving on the track from overview which the driver cant see and can provide better advice via radio? Nostalgia 4th Gear September 28, 2009 Share September 28, 2009 It's down to team effort. No one man or car can do it on his own. Yes, that's what Lightning Mcqueen learnt.... On another note, did you notice the large amount of debris popping up from under the cars? I'm not just talking about detached wing mirrors, but actual flakes of stuff coming off the tires..... Watwheels Supersonic September 28, 2009 Share September 28, 2009 I think the roads are not properly cleaned after the Porsche race. Those paper like flakes could be from celebrations party "flakes" or party paper. So when F1 cars hit the circuit these "debris" get thrown around becos of the wall that circled the circuit, debris hit the wall and get bounced back onto the roads. Jamesc Hypersonic September 28, 2009 Share September 28, 2009 I think its not the car or the driver but the strategy! Bring back flavio, we need more cheats in sports! ↡ Advertisement
