Viceroymenthol 6th Gear September 24, 2009 Share September 24, 2009 In Japan, there are few trash bins on the street. and yet you see no litter at all. The buy drinks from the vending machine, finish it on the spot and throw it at the vending machine trash bin. They don't eat and drink while walking around. When people smoke, they go to smoking area and flick their ashes into the common ashtray, not on the floor. Same as everywhere else, spotlessly clean. No, it is not that they have an effective road sweeper or public cleaner. It is the mentality of the people. Compare this with the Chinese populated countries like HK, Taiwan, China and Singapore and you can conclude that Chinese people have no sense of civic mindedness. Chinese people don't dirty their own house or their own things but can dirty or destroy other people's or public things. Very selfish mentality. You can see it in the way Chinese people all over the world drive - it's all about ME ME ME!
Nutty 4th Gear September 24, 2009 Share September 24, 2009 Maybe the authorities should look into banning distributing flyers at the doorstep. This is equilvalent to dumping trash on other people's home.

This is equilvalent to dumping trash on other people's home. Got another negative impact, we were told (on tv) not to make it obvious that we are not at home for a long period of time. Like stopping newspaper delivery. Thieves may take this opportunity to break in our house since they know no one is around. With the house to house flyers distribution, imagine how messy and obvious it is when owner is not around for a few days.

Our last oversea trip for 2 weeks turned my main door like junk yard. Very, very annoying and inconsiderate people.

Watwheels Supersonic September 25, 2009 Share September 25, 2009 It has to do with our education. If we are thought from young, non of this would happen. Other dan Japan, countries like Korea & Holland their ppl dun need to be reminded and their streets are very clean. They dun believe in hiring cleaners.
