haha... not all la.. i drive Avante also.. i just think it's a cheap and good car that has 4 wheels and can move. That's why I bought it in the first place.

he tried to cut into my path sharply at a filter lane turning left. i did not let him through as i found his action reckless, even though he signalled. before that, he had plenty of room to queue up to turn left at the filter lane, but he didn't and tried to cut the queue.

 

i looked at him as i drove past him, he looked back and shook his head. nvm, i continued on my way and turned left. he followed behind, then overtook me after turning left and purposely blocked my path after overtaking me. this was evident due to the fact i changed lanes and he changed lanes as well just to block me. that road was a 2 lane road.

 

so, being quite pissed off, i gave him a high beam when we stopped at a traffic junction. he got out of his car, walked to my car and attempted to open my car door. i had no idea what he wanted to do, so i did not open my door for him. he shouted expletives and banged my side window. i wound down my window a bit and warned him to back off otherwise the police would be going after him. and all this in full view of his wife who turned her head behind to look at us.

 

just then, the lights turned green, and he had no choice but to go back to his car and move off cos there were other cars behind us. and i gave him a good horn to make him move off quickly.

 

so yeah, that's about it. i admit, i got a part to play too by high beaming him for blocking my way, but i think he was going overboard by attempting to open my car door and banging my windows.

I also hate queue cutters ... But he's dam fierce ah ... attempting to open your door ... If I really got down and wanted to confront someone, I would tap on his window, not attempt to open the person's door. That's mighty brave or foolish of him.

 

Oh welll such incidents are part and parcel of driving on singapore roads. Just gotta live with fools like him. It's an experience like no other.

Good move bro ! If you were to get out of your car as well, that would've put you in a very disadvantages position as he is already looming over you and has all the advantages in a fight. You on the other hand, would be stuck in a half sitting, half crouching position, trying to get out of the car exposing yourself to various forms of attack. Unless of course you're a kung fu master

dispute me all you want folks, but one thing i generally noticed about Avante owners is that they think that Avante is damn steady, that it is above most B&B Jap cars. They almost think that the Avante is some high end luxury car !!

Just like BMW 320i owners, 90% think they damn steady. always show some haolian look
