U820661 Neutral Newbie April 30, 2010 Share April 30, 2010 was running on FD2 on my subaru legacy since Nov 2008, already 22K of mileage. So far, in the begining I can feel that the sidewall of the tyre is really too soft, especially when you wanna to overtake on NSHW with >150km/hr. But however, driving @>180Km/hr at NSHW is no problem but sometime the feeling is not as firm as BG RE030 which make easily hit 210km/kr with confident. Tyre is quiet as compre to my origoinal BG RE030. Wet grip is super as compare to my original BG RE030. ↡ Advertisement
Donut Supercharged April 30, 2010 Share April 30, 2010 Try 595EVO, or KU36. i'm on 595evo now. just changed.... its all right, for the cheaper price paid. i tried on deep puddles of water on road while raining. it cuts thru the water.... swee swee.... noise level is quite good. however, when its still new (like mine), on low speed like 30km/hr, u can hear a howling noise... higher speed, becomes quiet ppl say when this tyre is new, there will be howling noise. got to season the tyres over time, then the howling noise will be gone. another thing, this tyre is heavier. SaNibOy Clutched May 3, 2010 Share May 3, 2010 allo I just changed to FD2 last week, quite good... quite tyres.. previously on stock YOKOHAMA DNA tyres.. used that till 67000KM.. until i realised it balding.. then i changed coz my mechanic told me the tyres are ok before that.. FD2 .. i got it at a good price, look for mark at Ban Hin, Defu lane... you can ask him for a gd price.. he got quite some federal tyres for you to choose.. FD2 is quiet tyres.. he got some federal tyres which have more grip= more noisy.. Me also got my rims and federals from him. Good price definitely. Heartbreakid 6th Gear May 27, 2010 Share May 27, 2010 Can I check if Federal FD2 comes with rim protectors? I saw one Federal tyres but forgot model, compared to the same size as mine, lower profile tyres, Federal tyres seem to have very generous rim protector. FD2 seems a very good choice... Hosaybo 6th Gear May 27, 2010 Share May 27, 2010 I use b4. Price is good but the tyres only lasted me abt 35K Km and has to be changed as the thread has wear off. Previously on XM1 which after 40k ++km, still have lots of thread left. I change only at 50k km for peace of mind.
