Auron 2nd Gear October 28, 2009 Share October 28, 2009 On 10/23/2009 at 6:12 PM, Danielbeckham22 said: Hi, I'm a student from Singapore Management University embarking on a project in course, Technology & World Change. My team is intending to build a device which will solve the tailgating issue in Singapore. As we all know, tailgating is a major cause for most accidents. Our device works like this: 1. A sensor will be attached to the front of the vehicle to detect the distance between itself and the car in front. 2. Once the sensor detects tailgating, meaning a distance of less than 1metre between 2 cars, it will trigger an alarm to the driver. To notify him that he is tailgating the car in front. The full mechanics and details of our device have yet to be finalized. However, we'd like to hear from you, your views and takes on our innovation. We hope that you guys can give us feedback on our innovation! Please revert to us at daniel.soh.2008@smu.edu.sg. Thanks!! innovation???? unless you are not aware, tech is already in mercedes car... much much better than what you are trying to "innovate"... Mercedes-Benz Distronic Plus... damn... i hope that such tech can be made available in bread and butter car... perfect in our heavy singapore traffic... see this clip below. Mazda664422 Neutral Newbie November 6, 2009 Share November 6, 2009 Ha, you can try, but that area you ought to slow down at the bend to watch out for buses coming out of interchange and cars turning right into northpoint shopping while you approaching the traffic light T-junction in less than 100m. It is highly possible it was red light and cars and buses filled up the two lanes, and you were having your left signal on, so camry proceed to turn right at the yellow box. How can you not react in time? Were you speeding? I do know some young punk driving vios and camry in that area. Ha Ha. ↡ Advertisement
