Just curious, as last few nights, there is these two (sometime only one) car with very loud exhaust at the place I am staying. and they like to drive in and "show off" their loud exhaust sound. and they do this between 11pm to midnight (same for bikers, but different is bikers like to do this on weekends and after midnight)

Some do it for sound while some do it to release more horsepower. Personal preference I guess. Not to worry, Alfa aftermarket exhaust like Novitec and Supersprint are hardly loud like those who disturb your neighbourhood peace.

u can call LTA about this

a friend of mine was caught for excessively loud exhaust (complaints from neighbours)

personally escorted to inspection centre and slapped with a fine

i dont think the novitecs is loud at all.. you can ask the few alfa owners here whom have heard it. I think the sound is pretty subtle and 'polite'.

I wish we have more choices on exhaust mufflers for Alfa. Presently the novitec is easy to get and although not cheap, it ain't too pricey. Supersprint's price is way off. I have come across on youtube so many other brands but I'm quite impressed by some of the Jap brands like Bertocchi and Arcano. Unfortunately it seem so difficult to get it imported and possibly cost a lot too (Arcano is said to cost some Eur3k+!)
