my friend Allion A15, give him best abt 10-11KM.. if i tell him ur 15.2KM/L.. i think he will cry [sweatdrop]

Mine A15 also....cannot be 10-11km...unless he's quite heavy footed though. Different driving styles I guess...but 15.2 is max.....Usually is 13 to 14. Some of you are quite right, AD gives peace of mind.....when I signed on the dotted line with my PI honestly speaking, I was quite worried....but luckily nothing bad happened. Yes alot of people thinks that it's a 2L car....and IMO not alot of mods can be done especially if you want to add bodykits and all cos they just ain't available that easily and besides, it's supposed to be more towards the luxurious side...not sporty. I'll try to take some photos and post them up here soon after I send my car for car wash [:p]

Thanks bro. Screw the PI, I'm just absolutely delighted with my car.

TS, tough choice but buy the car that you have the strongest "feeling" for, cant go wrong that way. Haha. [thumbsup]

Allion for me definately!

Coincidentally, just read a Nissan Sylphy review on sgcarmart.

Apparantly, besides looking out-dated, the Sylphy is also underpowered and suffers from under-steer.

Moreover, the Allion name sounds much nicer than Sylphy, which is extremely hard to spell. haha.

I have my Allion for 1 year 3 months now.

I think FC is really fantastic. avg 15km/l without fail. 15".

Was worried that the car would be underpowered cos it comes with 110 horses only, same as my previous Sunny.

And you know Sunny, with that 110 horses, it changes and picks up speed terribly. Thought Sunny's low end torque was bad... but high end wasn't good either.

Allion, on the other hand, is good at both low and high end torques. It boils down how the manufacturer designs the distribution. Thought the CVT would be sluggish. Guess I was wrong, and I am damn happy about the pickup and no jerks which was evident in Sunny having Auto gear.

Now, before I got my Allion, I had visited Tan Chong to look at the Sylphy. Like the interior but somehow the look did not get into me albeit having that luxury feel. Upon closer inspection, you will find that those materials are quite cheap skate type. You would really be impressed with Nissan's effort in churning that with the least costs.

Allion in my opinion is better built in quality. Feel the soft rubber console, reclining back seats, heavy doors, impressive luxury gear and controls.

I ended up getting Allion after 3 months of considerations.

Cheers.

Considering these 2 sedans, all comments appreciated [wave]

Allion

Better FC

Super CVT-i + VVT-i

Reclining rear seats

Sylphy

Gd svc centre

Luxurious interior

Pricing-wise both around the same range & OMV of around 18k thereabouts.

Talking about after sale service from AD, my previous ride was a Kia. The service from the AD was not much better. They are only good in scaring the owner on voiding the car warranty. Even not allow to bring own engine oil for service.. [thumbsdown]

For my Allion, I trust the quality of the car and you can easily get it service outside.

And spare parts should not be rare coz workshops know they losing out big time if they don't stock up on them. :D

And btw Allion's trip computer is quite cool. Was very impressed. The rear also looks impressively spacious. Just saw the pics in sgcarmart.

The only thing I don't like is that the trip computer is in Japanese but if you can understand chinese then it won't be a problem.

Is the owner manual in Jap too? Any Ang Moh translations available?

yup. Saw the wood trim too. Impressive, but I thought I saw the trim in the Teana too. That's why never say.

But the Allion really better than I expected. Used to think PIs only bring in no-frill cars to keep costs low. Not anymore.
