NT09 January 9, 2010 Share January 9, 2010 my dad is driving one - heard he said soft suspension at the rear...and underpower since it is a 1.5l... otherwise, all the other aspects are luxurious for the price tag... in any case, it is not one that you will race in (similar to the teana)... NT09 January 9, 2010 Share January 9, 2010 not sure if it is CVT though...think it is not... 4 speed auto gb... legroom at the rear is good. MIJ so better?
NZH Neutral Newbie January 12, 2010 Share January 12, 2010 FC depands on the individuals' driving style and the kind of roads you use. I use to get 15.4 km/ltr with my last work place which I used more express ways. Now with my new job location I got only 13.4 km/ltr where I use more conjusted roads with many trafic lights, with the same Allion A 15. My point is some one might get better FC with Allion or with Sylphy, depands on the situation. Driving style also plays a part. One likes to accelerate rapidly from red light and stop again at next light which will increase your FC. Drive gently will improove your FC. I owned an Allion for almost 2 years now and during this period, there was no problem and no breakdown. Change lube oil and filter, thats all. Now I have done 30,000 km. I believe Toyota made in Japan is very reliable and has lived up to its reputation. I do not know why Boneo Motors dosen't sell Allion???? Sylphy on the other hand, has more leg room for rear seat passengers but by creating more leg room, the car length is increased which causes difficulties in some parking situations. Outside look is a bit bulky.
NZH Neutral Newbie January 12, 2010 Share January 12, 2010 (edited) CVT means continuous variable tourque. I think many people doesn't understand the difference between CVT and Auto Hydraulic Transmission (conventional type). CVT uses steel belt on 2 tapered pullies. AHT uses hydraulic oil for torque transfer. So CVT basically is continuous torque, no gear numbers like 1st 2nd 3rd. Conventional AHT only got 1st 2nd 3rd etc. Edited January 12, 2010 by NZH

Maybe coz the cost for Allion is higher......if they bring in from Japan they cant sell @ Altis price......coz Altis Made In Thailand cost is 'Cheaper' I juz got my Allion abt 1 week......juz love the handling....the smooth pickup.....the interior is beauty......travelling in expressway @ 120km/h is smooth smooth.... Skiver Neutral Newbie March 22, 2010 Share March 22, 2010 Hmm...Am also considering whether to get Axio or Allion...cos the difference is close to 10K but varies between different PI. Which PI did you guys get it from? Cos cant test drive so cant really feel the difference between the two, can only based on review.. Appreciate all comments! Carnipotent Clutched April 24, 2011 Share April 24, 2011 I now wonder if there will be any problems getting parts for the Allion if the car has an accident. Wouldn't the Sylphy be a safer buy instead?
Kelloggs 1st Gear April 24, 2011 Share April 24, 2011 Allion and Premios are marketed as smaller (in terms of size and capacity) of Mark X right ? I guess thats why the interior largely has the same elegance of the Mark X By the way, is there a facelift models of the Allion and Premio. What i did not quite like about the previous generation was the rear screen wiper, which looks out of place in a sedan

Wouldn't the Sylphy be a safer buy instead? my perception is Syphy is narrower, so 3 person sitting behind, Allion will be better. anyone can verify this?
