Quantum 5th Gear September 15, 2009 Share September 15, 2009 (edited) Considering these 2 sedans, all comments appreciated Allion Better FC Super CVT-i + VVT-i Reclining rear seats Sylphy Gd svc centre Luxurious interior Pricing-wise both around the same range & OMV of around 18k thereabouts. IMO,brtter don't buy from PI, PI after market service is quite bad compare to AD, bty, Sylphy fc also can hit 12 to 13km/l, not lose to Allion Edited September 15, 2009 by Quantum
Tohto Hypersonic September 15, 2009 Share September 15, 2009 I have been driving Allion for 1yr. Friends who have no knowledge about car sat in my car all though that the Allion is a 2.0L car. Pick up is not slow once you learnt how to control the Super CVTi gearbox. FC I am getting +/- 14km/l when on 16" tyre, recently change to 17", FC drop to +/- 13km/l. All this with driving pattern of 40%HW/60% city. Occasionally will ramp above 4000rpm during pick up and overtaking. Space wise, rear shoulder is a bit lagging with 3 adults. Legroom is good. YellowFlash Clutched September 15, 2009 Share September 15, 2009 my friend Allion A15, give him best abt 10-11KM.. if i tell him ur 15.2KM/L.. i think he will cry mine was 14-15km/l when i was on 15"...right now after upgrading to 17", i still get around 12-13km/l....i wonder how your fren drives...or has he got himself a 18" rim? Mobile1 1st Gear September 15, 2009 Share September 15, 2009 Got my allion 3 mths ago. So far no regret. Drives like a camry. Quiet and smooth. Pick up wise, i find it no worst than vios.
Diesel 1st Gear September 15, 2009 Author Share September 15, 2009 i have been to the PI & spent some intimate time with the car & i like the feel of everything inside, especially the rear reclining seats! Any A15 owners willing to let me try out the drive?
Diesel 1st Gear September 15, 2009 Author Share September 15, 2009 bro i agree on the shoulder room, spaciousness to me is more on the shoulder room, rather than legroom, afterall how much space can 3 pairs of legs take? unless bringing a bunch of taitais go shopping & lazy to put shopping bags in the boot anyway i think these 2 cars should be able to accomodate 3 adults behind comfortably
Diesel 1st Gear September 15, 2009 Author Share September 15, 2009 my friend Allion A15, give him best abt 10-11KM.. if i tell him ur 15.2KM/L.. i think he will cry i will be happy to retain my current lancer glx's fc of 11-12km/l pick-up wise i'm not too particular, although i'm used to the lancer's low-end torque, can feel the pull when moving off so long can keep up with the rest of the pack ok liao
Diesel 1st Gear September 15, 2009 Author Share September 15, 2009 first to get off from traffic light does not mean fast. slow and steady win the race.... i think "QUICK" (off the line) is the word, some small cc cars are quick off the lights

I have been eyeing the allion for a year... my current glx lancer also on cvt so i think i can get used to it pretty quickly. i think the allion should come with min. 16" wheels as standard, the 15" really cmi looks puny on the big body

Ladykillerz 4th Gear September 15, 2009 Share September 15, 2009 Both rides are okay for me!~ Sylphy is easy to take care of when it comes to maintenance and warranty. Allion is unique on the road today. Can I have both?~~~

Mobile1 1st Gear September 15, 2009 Share September 15, 2009 (edited) I would say both are good cars. Allion should be worry free from popping to the workshop for warranty. Sylphy so far not many problems except some minor knocking sound encountered which i heard of I think its all individual preferences!! Which car makes u feel shiok when u r inside is most impt.
