i heard that all the car alarm system must be compliant to IDA rules as it emits low power frequency. what if we install a new alarm system never approved by IDA? e.g. install a new alarm system in jb? wat's the consequences?

no consequences.

as long as your alarm soesn't sounds off 'fxxk your mother! fxxk your father' or moaning sounds..so should be ok.

technically its illegal. similar example goes for those ultra-long range 5watts walkie talkies which many ppl took on a road trip up north.

so unless an explosion or something big happens due to using those alarms... usually it should be okie...

Another example could be those PUB-approved electrical applicances. imo, its more for our safety rather than an opportunity to leech us off our $ by fines.

IDA compliance?? honestly, all those PI alarms are not IDA compliance i believe... I once was told by installers that those IDA approved has actually got a small IDA sticker behind your remote. For example, look at PI honda civic FD vs those from Kahmotor. Turn to the back of your key, those from Kahmotor has actually the IDA sticker... i dun tink IDA will come down to the point to go catch 1 by 1...
