I had the same problem n I think it could be your exercise technique!

Instead of doing pushing ups where you take all the strain,

I think you could trying exercising with a partner and get

the partner to do sit ups. :D

Maybe try different positions, afterall exercise should

be fun and enjoyable. Heres to a healthy lifestyle. [thumbsup]

Does that means all power lifters are gungho?? Ever heard of charles poliquin or even read his books / articles?

Only lifters would know who poliquin is.

Actually i'm not sure if benching PL style is good for hyperthrophy. I've never used PL style -

1. feet curled under body as much as possible

2. arch back high

I've always kept my feet grounded and minimized lumbar arch.

You mean train chest and biceps, neglecting the back muscles, then back pain comes? train back together no back pain?

i have problem with my lower back too. one fine day a few years ago, i bend to remove my shorts, i heard a snap. and couldn't get up for that moment. after a few fruitless visit to teh GP, i got a letter from them to visit sports doctor. Dr Ben Tan, the ex-national sailor saw me. He saw the x-ray and immey say my c4 and 5 back bone is fused closer than normal. when young, the muscle around this section still can help to support your weight, but as u age, the muscle weaken. unfortunately, it's a chronic illness and there's no cure. physio helps. just need to manage the pain these days. if go gym, try not to carry heavy weights standing up. if doing bench press, put your legs up like doing sit ups. i heard philates helps as it strengthen core muscles.

i got downgraded to Pes C2 L9

Ex-colleague told me he overcame his problem by exercising to improve blood circulation, and no more back pain since. Doctor told me when back stretched beyond threshold also can have same back pain

Now I walk as fast as I can to stadium about 3km away for warm-up. Jogged along the track, and walk home

Practise some push-up instead of weights (NO BACK PROBLEM)

hey guys, i'v been hitting the gym on a regular basis for 2 years

I am also a suffering for lower back pain, went to take an x-ray , found out that my L-5 was fused together when i was born .

Although it is not a major problem, i can bend over to touch my toes, sometime even touch my knees .

Usually the pain is worst in the morning when i just get up from bed, at night the pain is lesser .

Anyone out there who previously suffer from this too ? How did you manage to cure this annoying back pain ?

Need to carry out some routine back excercise mainly to strengthen the back muscle. Swimming is one good option. I'm suffering from slip disc at L5 and me regular swimming (twice to thrice a week) helps a lot.

hi there,

i got back problem too.every year,i will have a stay in hospital as my whole body jammed.

but after i wen to a chinese physician in AMK blk 128,the chinese physician do a Chiropractic treatment to my back and an accupuncture to release the nerve.

what a relief, after the CTRL,ALT,DEL to my body.

treatment also cheap,less than $50.

if you go to Western Chiropractic, will cost you hundreds of dollars.

now,as and when,my body will start to stiiff in the back,i don't hesitate to go visit the chinese physician.

How long does it take to reset your body, thinking of trying it out.
