Self-defense weapon in car

I have a set of golf clubs in my car so if going up north, I don't mind putting an iron next to my driver's seat. I also have a Victorinox Rescue Tool (Swiss Army Knife) which I brought back from Switzerland. The rescue tool version not only comes with a foldable blade but also a window breaker, seatbelt cutter and a saw strong enough to saw through the windscreen. Some other brothers here use baseball bat though...seen it at Autobacs....can't remember how much it costs.

Those of you interested in the capabilities of the Rescue Tool, can take a look at this:

Hi bros

what would you reccomend for the above

esp when going up north.

the baseball bat steering wheel type lock is sufficient.

if you ask me though a small knife will do, maybe a penknife well placed near the dashboard in case the person tries to force one out through the window.

A large maglight will do the trick too.. Provided your car is like mine where there is a slot just below my steering wheel area to store it.

guys,

do make sure those items u use are properly secured in place in the car.

In time of accident, they could be flying around in the cabin and cause more damage to the peoples

The baseball bat, as bro AceofproZ mentioned, I think is not that "user-friendly".. lol

I have one and it doubles as an anti-thrft device, the ones that you use when you go up north.

Its quite heavy and you actually need to swing it back a fair bit to gain momentum before you

can land a blow on the assailant. What we need is something compact, light but gives a nasty punch.

I have stashed in my car are large screwdrivers (always 1 in my driver's side door compartment and 1 in

the glove) and a pocket knife in my centre console... =)

I think spanners are quite useful too... easy to hold and can whack the daylights out of someone.

A maglight is a good idea, not only can use as weapon but also especially when you need to open up the bonnet to have a look at the engine in the middle of the night. Surefire torches are good as well, imo they are even better than maglights but they are very expensive too...

depends in what situation / location you think you would need to use that "weapon" . singapore very safe , i think a maglight will be sufficient lah, most threatening situation you probably would encounter in singapore is maybe a road rage. if you frequent boleh land then maybe a more "kickass"looking baseball bat would be better to fend off petty crimes. But best is practice safe situation awareness lah.
