Pls note that your torque at low rev will suffer. Furthermore, if you don't operate on the catalytic converter, there is no point in operating the exhaust. You may want to consider operating the catalytic converter to have a straight through pipe. Reason being that the straight through pipes in the catalytic converter and exhaust will allow free flow of air. It is very important that the space between the pipe and housing must be densely filled with fibreglass wool insulation to reduce the sound. Another company which you may want to consider is Man's Exhaust at Sin Ming Industrial Park. Some of my friends did their exhaust system there and are pleased with the results. It is good to enquire around these exhaust shops and let them give you their views, recommendation and pricing. But before you go into operating the above 2, you need to ask yourself as to whether you are looking for high torque at low rev or high torque at mid and high end. As for me, I always prefer high torque at low rev cos' the pick-up is much faster.

Turbonetics 2nd Gear September 5, 2009 Share September 5, 2009 operating exhaust is a basic job for exhaust shops. so i believe all the shops can give a decent job. i suppose your main concern should be pricing. i heard Man exhaust is one of the cheapest in town. Mikeyeo Clutched September 5, 2009 Share September 5, 2009 For me, I thkg of just having a nice bassy sound and hope to just keep my low end torque as before. Any suggestions? If your main critiria is just to have the bassy sound only, you can go to Autobac, Silent or those motor accessory shops that sell bolt-on exhaust tip that produces such sound. It's not the normal add-on type as it comes with a cable or something to be connected into the stock muffler I have seen people buying them just to have the sound like you want and installed by the sellers. The cost of operating the stock catalyst converter or exhaust muffler is around S$200+ each. Buying the above exhaust tip is very much cheaper and doesn't cause your low end torque to suffer. Basically, as per stock. You may want to check with these shops.
