I think Group D also siong lei........Chelsea, Porto and Atletico Madrid will have a good fight b4 moving to knock out stage [sweatdrop] .This time round looks like Man U will have a easier time to proceed further. [flowerface] Anyway thanks for the info TS.

yr in yr out man u will get quite an easy grp. i tink this yr 1st time in so many yrs that they get a tricky grp. not diff...but tricky. so it's abt time they get some challenge.

I thought once past the group stages, there will be another draw? So it doesn't matter when they are placed now?

 

Yes, you are right.

 

From UEFA official site:

 

The top two sides from each section will progress to the first knockout round draw on 18 December, which will be held at 12.00CET in Nyon

 

Only after the draw in Dec then we can see if the English teams would be able to avoid each other in Quarter Finals and all clash in the Semis.

Looking at the draws for English teams, Arsenal get the best deal. I expect Standard Liege, though from Pot 4 to be the surprise package.

 

Liverpool seems to be comfortable in their group too but they must get their act together fast as their current form is @#&^$#*&.

 

Chelsea got the strongest team in Pot 3 in Atletica Madrid.

 

Man Utd faces tough away ground in Russia and Turkey, have to travel a bit. Lucky for them, they visiting Moscow in Oct, not Dec. :p

I hope the English teams continue to progress because the momentum seems to be with the Spanish clubs. One bought big and the other is the current Champ.
