Hi bros and sisters,

Starting a "You know you are not alone" Thread.

How it goes is if somehing bad/sad/unfortunate/demoralizing happens to you, you post it here and end it with, "For those facing the same situation, you know you are not alone"

I will kick the ball rolling....

Took a paycut to join a company that before hiring makes lotsa promises...and didnt make good on the promises. Market is bad now and with all the instability in the economy...have to suck it up till the next better job comes by....

For those in the same situation, you know you are not alone.

when the company's rep are interviewing you, you shd be reviewing them at the same time.

but that's the issue with changing new job. it's always a challenge or in local context, heng or sway outcome...

Well...you are in luck. Our labour mkt is fairly 'tight'. If your skills are needed elsewhere, do make the leap. Afterall, there is no such thing as firm loyalty. Local employers are out to get a bargian and so should you! But do not make the mistake of taking the counter offer carrot. If the same company could not see you worth then, their sudden relaization of your worth now is somewhat conniving at best.

good luck! don;t forget no pensions here.....

I do not believe in loyalty to companies nowadays. Only loyalty to direct boss is still around today (provided they treat u well).

If you are able to contemplate the vastness of the cosmos, and understand that there are millions of solar systems out there that may harbour planets just like ours, orbiting an alien sun...you know you are not alone!

when he goes for hotel meetings he will ta pao snack back for us.

he leads by example. however dont let him have a bad impression of ya.. when he first joined, many old staff tio ask to leave. he has his high demands however he knows his stuff well to lead by example. scaryily.. he works with ultimate speed and accuracy.. sometimes its very tiring to keep pace..

he always say im like a son to him. so i count myself very lucky that he goes on explaining things to me..
