not just for cough... i was told not to eat chicken after going thru an open surgery as chicken will cause scarring/keloids

yup same here, especially chicken soup. My cough gets worse after that.

Doesn't seem to have any effect leh... have often eaten chicken rice, chicken porridge or chicken soup while down with bad flu. The only exception was when despite a horrible throat I got greedy and ate loads of fried chicken wings.

Think the sinsei means KFC or some other deep fried chicken. I feel I have more flam if I eat chicken when down with the cough. The old folks say it's because of the skin...

I think the western doctor will never agree to the saying cuase it is without prove but this conclusion seems to stem from experience. I myself do cough more when I have chicken during my cough.

they said if u have sore throat, u sld gargle ur mouth w salt water...but for me, i eat salted potatoe chips. it works the same but better coz the salt will go through ur throat and soothe it directly haha

 

drink coke w salt also helps sore throat.
