yes, modric is out with a broken leg.... possibly for the rest of the year. there goes the top 4 dream this season.

replacing modric... lets see.... we can play slightly different formation against Man U ... let's play Crouch (or Palyuchenko) and Defoe up front. Keane roaming just behind them. 3 central midfielders in Palacios, Jenas (play left) and Lennon..... back 4 of Corluka, Ekotto, Bassong and King. 4-3-1-2.

Dont ever play the error prone Bentley,... he loses the ball 50% of the time .... i dont care if he can cross the ball or hit free kicks like Becks.. his workrate and attitude is poor.

In the long term... without modric will be tough... please buy van de Vaart and van niselrooy from Madrid...

Modric was sorely missed last night.... Hutton was junk... cuducini is not good enuff..... [shakehead]

Lucky to scrape through a draw last night although we could have won it at the end.... but considering Man U also had the same result so at least still not too far away from the leading pack. Will be nice if Liverpool and Chelsea can play to a draw as well....

None-the-less, Harry better sort the defence out coz it's still damm leaky....

Spurs defends like sh1t....esp Huddleston,he shud not played back.

Many scoring chances from the tall man, R.Keane seems like not playing.

Kudos to Corluka for the saviour and his first goal.

Ledley, Woodgate and Dawson are injured. There are 2 players can play as central defender are Huddlestone and Corluka. There is no capable right full back to replace Corluka- Alan Hutton is too far behind from Corluka. So Redknapp has to play Huddlestone in Central Defender.

I think Spurs was punished when Assou-Ekotto was caught napping in the penalty box. Spurs started to wake up when Spurs was 1-2 down and the Spurs attacked has intensified. Spurs needs Modric badly to have more options on the attacks- Left wing or Right Wing attack or punch through the central defence.

Redkanpp has a lot of attacking options- 2 shorts, 1 tall & 1 short and 2 talls. The 2 talls Crouch and Palyuchenko are rarely in the startup.

Come to think of it, Spurs has Lennon, Defoe, Huddlestone, Jenas and Crouch may call up for England while Modric, Corluka and Kranjcar are Croatian international.

Nowadays, BPL clubs need international players to stay at top 10 and a decent manager.

Spurs still need to overcome themselves to progress further.... They have the players to win, but sometimes, luck and the mind is missing

Yesterday Defoe played well, maybe want to impress Englands manager.Usually i dont like his style of play, full of solo effort.

But his shot is menacing, good passes to crouch too.

Glad to know there are Spurs fans in this forum. Yesterday's match shows that Spurs is still weak in defending against physical teams. The most irritating thing is that some players can play a good match this week and then the following week, they are sh*t. Two good examples are Keane and Jenas, who were terrible last night.

Another week.. another 3 points in the bag....

But I must say they were far from convincing, and barely holding onto 3rd place with Arsenal and Man City fast catching up. Even Villa may be level on points with their game in hand.... looks really tight up there. [sweatdrop]

But none-the-less.... COYS!!! [:p]

Spurs last 5 games are tough as shown below. The spurs central defenders are back and hopefully Modric is back for north london derby games. Though Gomes made 2 or 3 good save, he is still quite nervous when spurs defenders and opponent strikers are crowded around him... He needs to have mutal understanding between him and his defenders.

Crouch skill has improved. Keane looks lost and defoe was sent off... Now Keane and Crouch partnership. I guess Bassong will be rested for Stoke Game and Carling Cup.

2010 Sat. 10 Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal

2010 Sat. 17 Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea

2010 Sat. 24 Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur

2010 Sat. 1 Tottenham Hotspur v Bolton Wanderers

2010 Sun. 9 Burnley v Tottenham Hotspur

Darn, Modric loss is really bad for Spurs... W/O Modric, we lost 3 games, won only 2 BPL games onie....

Next up against Arsenal, the great North London Derby... Can Spurs beat the gooners?? Or at least get a point.. Or else the good work all undone so early in the season....

Dun worry,i saw the way arsenal gave away the two sloppy goals, spurs sure have chance.but must play crouch coz their central defenders cant deal with high balls.
