Meteor Shower Tonight?

Apparently it says "2am Singapore time", but if it's 2am singapore time, doesn't that mean it's already over 2am this morning? If it's 1800 GMT, and SG is GMT+8, then shouldn't it be tomorrow morning 2am Aug 13?

I'm confused? Anyone going somewhere to watch this? Never seen meteor shower before wonder if there's anything 2 see.

I think this shower last for about a week..

We are ahead by 8hrs. So GMT 1800hrs, 12 Aug, would be SG time 2am, 13Aug...

Singapore sky is too bright to see it.

Just like the widely advertised meteor shower some 10-12 years ago.

Went up bird-hill to catch it. End up saw only 6 shooting stars.

As for the timing...I'm just as confused as u are. :D

"East Asia is best placed to see the shower at its most intense moment, which is predicted for 1800 GMT (2am Singapore time) on August 12, according to the US publication Sky and Telescope (skyandtelescope.com)."

1800GMT on August 12. Meaning 13 August 2am SGT.

If you google it and click on images, u can see different variations of it. Definitely more spectacular than our NDP fireworks.

Basically the whole battalion were out in the parade sq staring up the sky. Although not much what this is my one n only time watching a meteor shower. That is well more than 10yr ago.
